Description

This is the 1974 complete Canadian version of the game. This game shows wear & tear, mainly due to the flimsy cardboard used for the box (think 70s Monopoly boxes) & a unique box design that unfortunately led to excessive wear. The game shows tape residue & spots & is missing the Canadian money that came with it. The money shown in one of the photos is US Payday money, the Canadian Money was gone, so I replaced it. The design of this box is a complete redesign of the American one. Take a look at the photos. A bit of history about the game - PayDay was invented by Paul J. Gruen of Massachusetts. He was one of the 70s top board game designers along with his brother-in-law Charles C. Bailey. PayDay was Gruen's most successful game, outselling Monopoly in its first production year. The game simulates money management, with the game board resembling a calendar month. Before the game, the players decide how many months to be played (i.e. how many times to travel across the board). During the game, players accumulate bills & expenses to pay, along with collecting their monthly wage on "payday" at the end of the month. The winner is the player who has the most money at the end of the last month of play. This is a great game for family game night, retro game night or just to have in your home game collection. Board Games are expensive to ship due to box size. Vintage 1974 Canadian Payday - Where Does All The Money Go? Board Game By Parker Brothers Complete
