This is a gorgeous piece of Asian art that is literally heavy with jade, plus carnelian & other agates. This one has many jade leaves with carnelian flowers & possibly white jade flowers. They were usually crafted in China, I know that this one was purchased at an antique store more than 40 years ago, so take that for what you will. The pot on this one is also jade, which is just beautiful & adds to the overall appeal of the piece. The amazing thing about these pieces is that you can mold & bend them, which is inherently relaxing, like pruning the tree. I arranged a few petals for the pictures & it was very nice. Everything is shiftable, the petals & even the stamen. It is a lovely piece & you just know it took so much time to hand string every piece & then wrap in silk. The craftsmanship & detail on this one is wonderful, right down to the "unopened" flower. It is 9 7/8" tall, about 11.5" wide & sits in a jade pot that is 3" x 4 1/8" across the top.
