Description: Beautiful round 12K gold filled locket necklace with etched overlapping double hearts with flowers & leaves above & below them on the front side. This Retro Era pendant locket is plain with no design on the back. All around the front is an etched double scalloped or zig zagged line that frames the heart & floral design. The bale is an elongated triangular shape with three vertical lines (or ribs) on it. The mid century era locket hangs from a fine 14K gold filled oval link chain. Inside one of the wells is the hallmark for the A&Z Company. NOTE: The hallmark on this locket stands for the A & Z Chain Company. It was founded by Carl Anshen & Saul Zeitlin in Providence, Rhode Island & was in business from 1905 until 1975. The front & the back of this hallmarked locket have a shiny finish. This vintage locket has places for two portraits inside & a hallmark for the A&Z company in one of the wells. The hinge is on the left side & this locket opens from the right. The locket opens & closes securely with a snap. The chain, a 12K gold filled oval link chain, has a spring ring clasp. The clasp opens & closes securely.
