THANK YOU This kennel does include the fireplace insert & the fireplace we use is an electric fireplace that we purchase through Amazon, the fireplace is a standard 120 plug. When purchasing the measurements you see are the overall measurements of the entire finished piece, so for example if you select a 48 long x 30 deep x 36 tall double then the kennel will have a divider so you will end up with two sections in the kennel & each section will be 24x30x36. Please make sure you make a selection as to whether you would like your dog kennel with standard hinged doors or if you would like barn style sliding doors. For a dog who doesn't do very well in kennels I would suggest that you go with a hinged door as they are a little more secure than a barn style door. These dog kennels are very popular with all our customers they are built just for you & every kennel is unique. All dog kennels are made from POPLAR which is a hard wood that we source from a local saw mill. Since our kennels are made from a hardwood they are very sturdy & can with stand up to 250lbs on top of them. These are not only dog kennels but they are functional furniture as they can be used as end tables, night stands, or entertainment centers. The dog kennels can be personalized with your choice of color we currently use minwax stain so just let us know the color stain you want. We take pride in these kennels as they are one of the items that got this business off the ground.
