Wheaties first offered miniature auto license plates from all 48 states & the District of Columbia in 1953. Four different sets of 12 plates each could be ordered by sending in 25 cents & a wheaties top. The D.C. plate was available in random boxes of wheaties. It was a successful promotion & increased Wheaties sales. Post Cereals also issued different mini license plate sets in 1968 & 1982. I have several of these. I will be happy to group several or sell individually. They vary in condition & measure 2 3/8" x 4 7/8". They are all out of the same estate. Thanks for your interest!
