Description
Here is a nice set of hand tinted stereographic (3-D) photo cards featuring scenes from "Out West" during the early 1900's. Lovely views of 1904 St Louis Exposition, Cleopatra's Terrance Frozen in Yellowstone, the Balanced Rock Garden in Colorado, the original Saltair Bathing Pavilion at Salt Lake, the Alaska Gold Rush, & Moro Bay, Cuba Flying the US flag when Cuba was a US Protectorate. Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico (and of course Alaska & Hawaii) were not yet states... it was the wild west & places like St Louis were still considered to be "Out West." These photo cards can make an interesting display on their own, but are best when viewed using a stereoscope which was a very popular parlor entertainment device during the Victorian era. I have viewed these with my personal scope & they are spectacular! All are in very good condition with some slight age related fading, & when viewed under good light they snap into 3-D immediately & display considerable depth, contrast, color, & detail. Portland Pandemonium is an ETSY STAR SELLER: This means I personally excel in customer service, including the all important packing & shipping details. I absolutely guarantee that stereo cards will arrive at your home safely, insured, tracked, & on time, if not earlier! & remember, shipping is always free at Portland Pandemonium, so keep coming back for more odd-ball & quirky stuff, Daniel Vintage Stereographic Photo Cards "Out West" in The Usa, Circa 1900, St Louis, Salt Lake, Yellowstone, Colorado, Alaska, Cuba
