The original family recipe of Scottish tablet was discovered in May of 2020 when shop co-owner, David, was cleaning out his dad's home in Scotland. It belonged to David's Granny Chisholm & I was beyond thrilled to learn exactly what tablet was & to learn a dear recipe that belonged to his family. This authentic Scottish tablet has a slightly fudge-like, slightly grainy texture with rich flavors from browned butter & caster sugar - just as David remembers from his childhood. Having eaten plenty myself, I assure you that your tastebuds will thank you! Please note that while they have their similarities, tablet & fudge are two completely different things! Tablet has a grainy texture that ultimately melts in your mouth, where the fudge is more smooth & chewy. Scottish tablet is it's own entity & we hope you enjoy this authentic treat! Store in an airtight container up to 4 weeks, or freeze to keep longer (texture may be slightly affected) Allergens: This product contains dairy. If gifting tablet, we recommend gifting immediately. This is due to our tablet containing no preservatives, which means it will mould soon after its expiry date.
