This A3-sized Art Poster features a detailed colour illustration of Paul McCartney's 1962 Epiphone Casino ES-230TD from George Morgan. Produced on 250 gsm art paper it is suitable for framing with or without a mount & will be supplied in a protective cellophane bag inside a sturdy cardboard postal tube. Encouraged to buy a Casino by John Mayall, Paul was the first Beatle to purchase one & found his in London around December 1964 in time for rehearsals for The Beatles' Christmas Show. Although not the most expensive available, Paul was searching for a particular tone & wanted a hollow body with a Bigsby but at the time his choice was very limited as this was the only model available from the importer. Paul has referred to it as his favourite electric, even though he needed to do some small modifications including altering it for playing left-handed by turning the guitar upside down, re-stringing & modifying the bridge. He also added a strap button to the top horn. Using his Casino extensively in the studio as a member of The Beatles, particularly on recordings of Ticket To Ride, Taxman & Drive My Car, he also continued to use it through his solo career.
