I purchased a number of 40's-50's signs that came from a print shop in Patchogue New York. The signs are advertising events, stores, laws, politics, amusement parks, & events. SIGN: BALL BLUE POINT FIRE DEPARTMENT DANCE FEATURING LARRY DEE & TRIO PATCHOGUE HOTEL The BPFD was founded in 1890 & serves the Blue Point Community. The members of the Fire Department are volunteers & must successfully complete training classes offered by the Suffolk County Firefighters Training Academy, pass a written exam & obtain a Firefighter 1 certificate. Members train weekly & must answer a percentage of all alarms the department is activated for. The department is organized with 3 companies: Hose Company, Engine Company & Hook & Ladder Company. Additionally the department also has a Fire Police Squad. EMT calls are handled by Patchogue Ambulance. This is a vintage sign printed on thick board & it will be shipped flat. The sign is in very good condition & will frame or display nicely.
