Description
Collection of various U.K. railway luggage labels. The labels are mounted on ledger paper pulled from a book (the top edge of the piece is roughed up from the removal, but adds character to the piece). Just as your checked bag at the airport today would get a barcoded tag letting the baggage handlers know which cart to place your luggage, these paper labels were secured to the passenger's suitcases and steamer trunks similarly to indicate which train car to place it. The piece is in perfect condition! So toning and light foxed areas throughout.
