I graduated with honors from the University of Chicago, where I obtained my BS in biological chemistry and my BA in chemistry. Additionally, I spent about three years doing research in a quantum mechanics lab at James Franck Institute, the University of Chicago. I received my MS in bioengineering from University of California, San Diego (UCSD), where I also received the Teaching Assistant Excellence Award, nominated by faculty and graduate students.
