Rubber-Cal's EPDM sheet rubber is a versatile product with superior resistance to intense physical conditions. This synthetic rubber compound is made of a combination of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) to inherit the strengths of both materials. This industrial EPDM has a 60A durometer, meaning that it is fairly hard, but still retains reasonable flex and pliability. This hard rubber sheet is the perfect material to be used for commercial and industrial pads and bumpers. The key feature of EPDM synthetic rubber is its outstanding range of resistance. While other rubber materials fail under exposure to elements such as UV rays, ozone, and moisture, this outdoor rubber is designed to handle extreme physical conditions. This ozone-resistant rubber also stands up to several chemicals, ranging from acetone to nitrates. The chemical resistance of EPDM makes the synthetic rubber sheeting ideal for industrial locations which might be prone to corrosive substances. This thick sheet rubber also has a wide temperature range and performs well in temperatures from -40°F to 212°F. Our EPDM products are available in eight different gauges ranging from 1/16 in. to 1/2 in. This 1/2 in. sheet rubber is the thickest option available and works best for highly abrasive physical applications. These sheets are also available in a variety of different sizes and can be used as UV-resistant liners, seals, and gaskets.
