Description
Humphrey Bogart with a cigarette in the suit. Humphrey Bogart is remembered as a beloved American film star. He starred in 75 movies over his 30-year career. Although Bogart is known for his film acting, he began his career on Broadway, where he appeared in many stage productions in the 1920s and 1930s. With the change of life following the Great Depression in 1929, there was more demand for film acting and less for stage acting; this caused Bogart to begin his cinema career. Before his arguably most memorable role as Rick in Casablanca, Bogart's breakthrough roles came a year before in 1941, the year in which he starred in both High Sierra and The Maltese Falcon.
