The Bissell family has been tapping Northeastern Ohio maples since the 1800s. Today these 6th generation (and counting) farmers tap 1500 trees in Rock Creek and make small batch syrup. Their Sugar Chalet Bourbon Barrel Aged Pure Grade A Dark Maple Syrup is a truly unique American product. When the sap is boiled to perfection, it is poured into American White Oak bourbon barrels from a local micro-distillery. Flavors from the toasted oak barrel are drawn into the bourbon over several months. That character remains inside the charred barrel walls and is absorbed into the charred oak. Aged to perfection, the flavors from the barrel are drawn into the syrup until the flavor is just right! Each bottle is hand-filled and uniquely marked in small batches.
