The Bridal Wreath Spiraea is a classic gardening staple. It features beautiful and petite double white flowers from spring into early summer. These blossoms create quite a spectacle as they coat nearly the entire shrub. Its branches are graceful and downward arching, creating a mounded sort of appearance. The leaves are light green, serrated and soft. They last until the first frost of the year, at which point this deciduous plant will go dormant for the winter. New growth emerges in spring after the threat of frost has passed. This is a stunning choice for mass plantings, borders, specimen plantings and accents in mixed garden beds. It reaches 4 ft. tall to 6 ft. Wat maturity. This selection is hardy from USDA Zones 4-9 and grows best in Full Sun to Partial Shade. It's not picky when it comes to soil, however, good drainage is necessary. Water your new plants 2-3 times per week for the first growing season. Fertilize in spring with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. It responds well to trimming, although no pruning is required. If you do intend to trim your plants, do so once a year and shortly after it stops blooming. These Bridal Wreath Spiraea are well-established in a 2.4 Gal. (#3) pot and will tend to range from 12 in. tall to 18 in. tall when shipped. They are not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
