Santa Barbara landscape painting on canvas by Juan "Pepe" Maldonado Guzman (Chile b.1948). Guzman is known for his strong use of color and light and is influenced by both his Chilean background and California roots. Listed in Edan Hughes, "Artists in California, 1786-1940." Signed lower right. Signed and titled "Santa Barbara" on verso. Included is the new gold-leaf wood frame; hardware/wire included. Dimensions: Artwork, 20"L x 16"H; including the frame, 26"L x 22"H.
