Orange Juice Taste Test

Whether you enjoy orange juice with your breakfast or with a mid-day snack, OJ is one of the most beloved beverages. In fact, Americans drink around 3.2 gallons of orange juice per person, per year! When purchasing the citrus-flavored treat, buy juices labeled 100% orange juice to ensure you're getting only OJ. Some other terms you'll find on the packaging:

PASTEURIZED
Almost all supermarket orange juice is pasteurized (heated to a high temperature), increasing its shelf life and ensuring that the juice doesn't separate.

FROZEN CONCENTRATED ORANGE JUICE (FCOJ)
This is orange juice with the water removed. When prepared according to package directions, FCOJ has about the same amount of vitamin C as not-from-concentrate juice.

FROM CONCENTRATE
Water has been removed from this juice for storage, then added back in before bottling. In terms of nutrition and price, buying a carton of OJ "from concentrate" is about the same as mixing it yourself.

FORTIFIED ORANGE JUICE
These varieties have added nutrients. Choose ones that have the same Percent Daily Value of calcium (30% DV) and vitamin D (25% DV) as a glass of milk.

Wynonna Judd usually uses social media to share news, bits of wisdom and faith, or to have discussions with her fans, but she found herself in a very different position on Saturday (Jan. 21). After her sister, Ashley Judd, took the stage at the Women’s March in Washington, D.C., to deliver an impassioned speech denouncing President Donald Trump, Wynonna turned to Twitter to explain her own position at length. Ashley Judd’s speech was one of the most talked-about moments of the day-long march, which according to multiple media reports drew more people to Washington to protest the election of President Trump than his inauguration drew the day before (Trump called those reports “dishonest” during

A dozen bodies -- including seven that were headless and mutilated -- were discovered over the weekend in western Mexico's seaside resort of Manzanillo, apparent victims of the country's epidemic of drug violence, local officials said. It was a shocking turn of events for an area popular with American and other foreign tourists, which until now had largely been spared from the bloody drug wars wracking other parts of Mexico. Seven bodies were found early Saturday in an abandoned taxi on the road from Manzanillo to the town of Cihuatlan.

Mark Zuckerberg stirred up a parenting debate, and it has nothing to do with Facebook privacy settings nor photos of breastfeeding moms. No, it has to do with a simple photo he posted about his then 1-month-old daughter, Max. Like so many new dads before him, Mark's been sharing his daughter's milestones on his Facebook page — her first quantum physics book, her first New Year's Eve, her first Star Wars pose — and her first round of vaccinations. A year ago, he posted a photo of Max bundled up and sitting on his lap at what is likely to be her pediatrician's office and wrote, "Doctor's visit — time for vaccines!" • Trump's press secretary Sean Spicer has an odd, long-running feud with Dippin' Dots

Dippin' Dots, the alleged "ice-cream of the future," has a high-profile enemy in the new U.S. administration. That would be Trump's press secretary, Sean Spicer. You may remember him from his press conference on Saturday complaining about the media coverage on crowd numbers at the inauguration.  SEE ALSO: That didn't take long: Trump's press secretary is already a meme But as some internet sleuths have discovered, Spicer has a long-held vendetta against Dippin' Dots — those little balls of ice-cream that accompany trips to malls or at a theme park — as per his Twitter account. "Dippin dots is NOT the ice cream of the future," Spicer wrote back in 2010.  Dippin dots is NOT the ice cream of the future — Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) April 8, 2010 Then again in September 2011: "I think I have said this before but Dippin Dots are notthe (sic) ice cream the future," he wrote. I think I have said this before but Dippin Dots are notthe ice cream of the future — Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) September 22, 2011 He even reveled in news of the ice-cream maker's bankruptcy filing in 2011. Come on, Sean. Ice Cream of the Past: Dippin' Dots Files for Bankruptcy http://t.co/xPifdujD — Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) November 4, 2011 It's still not clear what qualms Spicer has against the frozen treat but, based on a tweet from 2015, it may be because he couldn't get any Dippin' Dots in vanilla at a Washington Nationals baseball game.  "If Dippin Dots was truly the ice cream of the future they would not have run out of vanilla cc @Nationals," he wrote, sans response from the Nationals.  If Dippin Dots was truly the ice cream of the future they would not have run out of vanilla cc @Nationals — Sean Spicer (@seanspicer) September 7, 2015 So there are two mysteries here: Why does Spicer hate Dippin' Dots? And why does it appear that he still continues to purchase them? The ice cream of the future depends on it.
