Test-drive: Lipstick Queen's blue lipstick

In the beauty-product department, I have a healthy fear of all things blue: Blue eye shadow can bring unforgiving '80s comparisons, and blue mascara and eyeliner should really, in my opinion, just be black. Blue lipstick? Unless you’re a clown, or Ke$ha, try to avoid it. Or so I thought until earlier this week, when I picked up Lipstick Queen’s new shade, Hello Sailor. It's a sheer navy lipstick that promises to make your teeth look whiter and your complexion brighter.

The color glided easily onto my lips and yielded a surprisingly gorgeous, shiny raspberry shade. (See my Instagram for pictures.) Elementary color theory teaches us that red and blue make purple, and on naturally rosy lips, this navy lipstick produces a subtle berry pout. But the color fades quickly, so if you’re looking for a deeper purple, then reapply often.

Would you dare to try blue lipstick?

Trouble is brewing over Grace Hightower’s coffee company. We’re told that her husband, Robert De Niro — who is a major investor in the firm — is steamed because the 5-year-old Grace Hightower & Coffees of Rwanda brand is turning into a money pit. The New York Post reports that Hightower has frustrated business associates — as well as the legendary actor — by dithering over simple decisions, and “changing her mind about how to run the business depending on who she spoke to last.” A source tells the paper that, in a moment of frustration, De Niro boiled over while bickering with Hightower in public at a Manhattan bar, telling her, “I wouldn’t have to keep making s - - tty movies if you didn’t spend

    • Send in the bern unit, Bernie Sanders just poured the hot fire bern sauce all over Trump on Twitter

President Donald Trump thinks his voters should have their own rally, but luckily, Bernie Sanders is here to remind him that, um, they already did. And it didn't go well. In his usual Saturday morning tweet routine (tweetine?), Trump turned his attention to the rallies against him since he took office:  But Bernie Sanders was ready with the receipts.  Trump said during his remarks at CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference yesterday that he "liked" Sanders, but that his movement had "petered out." So maybe the Vermont senator was waiting for the right moment to respond.  Photos of inauguration, always useful to have on hand, for, you know, the rest of recorded history.

And CNN anchor Jake Tapper did not take the unprecedented move lightly. Before his report on President Donald Trump’s speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference, Tapper took some time on CNN’s “The Lead” to break down why it’s such a problem that the White House barred certain media.  “Let’s not make any mistake about what’s happening here,” Tapper said.  “It’s not acceptable. In fact, it’s petulant,” he continued. He suggested the White House has difficulty

    • The New Iron Man Has SERIOUS Mommy Issues

The near-death of Iron Man at the conclusion to Civil War II came as less-than a shock, thanks to issue delays and the heavily promoted alternative Iron People, including Riri Williams’ Ironheart, and of course Victor Von Doom. While Tony Stark’s comatose state-meets-artificial intelligence continues to impact the Marvel Universe in its own ways, there’s no doubt his two legacy heroes have spiraled off into some extremely fascinating stories of their own. On the other hand, Doctor Doom journey is very personal in a different manner, dealing with his path to redemption and the hardships of trying to do right by a world he’s so gravely damaged. Infamous Iron Man #5 picks up from the previous chapter, where recent S.H.I.E.L.D. enrollee Ben Grimm has tracked the former dictator to his castle in Latveria, dropping by his secret laboratory.

    • Hmm, maybe this is why Trump doesn't want to attend the White House Correspondents' Dinner

On Saturday, Donald Trump made history as only the third president to bow out of the White House Correspondents' Dinner. And while this has much to do with Trump's ever-worsening battle with the press and his constant struggle to book talent, it's also worth remembering that, to be frank, Trump probably has another reason for ditching: He usually gets clobbered at these things. So, in the interest of, uh, elucidation, please enjoy these videos of Trump getting roasted at the 2011 and 2016 White House Correspondents' Dinner. Better yet, enjoy Trump's mirthless reactions. They're uncomfortable to watch, but extremely worth it. SEE ALSO: An exclusive look at Donald Trump's Twitter drafts for Oscar night First, here's President Obama clapping back at Trump's relentless "birther" conspiracy-mongering. The Lion King is involved. Next, observe Seth Meyers insisting that Trump must be running for president as a "joke." Trump does not smile. And here's Obama ripping on The Apprentice.  Finally, here's a delightful compilation of all the best Trump burns from the 2016 dinner.  A Larry Wilmore highlight: "Yeah, Trump's campaign is inspiring ... mass violence." (Trump did not attend that one, BTW.) So, there you have it. While we're not sure about the future of this year's event, we'll always have those stunners to fall back on.  And you can always zoom in on this cursed image while listening to "Sound of Silence."
