Miller Lite is changing the look of its 12-ounce glass bottle

The beer company recently released a photo of a more modern-looking bottle that will hit bars and restaurants this summer.

The new bottle is still brown with a blue label, but the shape is entirely different. Perhaps most notable is that the top of the bottle is broader than the bottom. The bottle's neck is also shorter.

In a press release from MillerCoors, the company says the bottle was "inspired by form and design" and that its "contoured grip" is "intended for easy handling from the bar to the pool table."

Ryan Reis, senior director of Miller Lite, is quoted in the press release as saying, "We’re proud of the new design and we’re excited to see how everyone reacts to our new look. This time when you grab a Miller Lite, you’ll know it.”

This marks the first time in 40 years that the Miller Lite bottle has gone through a major update, according to Gizmodo. Other beverage companies (both alcoholic and non-) have been on a tear with new packaging this year, as well.

Heineken launched a new bottle design with a longer neck earlier this year. Budweiser recently came up with bow tie-shaped cans. And Pepsi rolled out a new design for its 20-ounce bottle, the first time the company has changed the bottle in 17 years.

Infamous convicted murderer Charles Manson has spent nearly five decades imprisoned since his death sentence in 1971 was commuted to life. Suffice it to say that his peculiar behavior behind bars is far from that of a model prisoner. The following 10 facts take a glimpse into the life of a caged madman as well as the bizarre fan base his lunacy attracts. 10 A Disturbing Fan Base Despite the fact that Manson undoubtedly has had a lot of “alone” time—over four decades locked away in protective custody in a California state prison—he receives plenty of fan mail to keep him occupied as well as continuous meet-and-greet requests. • That didn't take long: Trump's press secretary is already a meme

We're one day into the Trump presidency and the memes are already flying. President Donald Trump's Press Secretary Sean Spicer gave a press conference Saturday in which he complained about the media's "false" reporting of crowd numbers at the inauguration.  Although he admitted to not having any, you know, hard figures, he declared:  "This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration — period — both in person and around the globe." SEE ALSO: All the best protest signs from Women's Marches across America In so many ways, he was just plain wrong. Pictures from President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009 show many more people on the mall than on Saturday, and D.C.'s transport agency told the Washington Post that 570,557 people took trips Friday compared to 1.1 million trips in 2009. Nielsen also estimated that about 31 million viewers watched TV coverage of the day —  less than Obama and Ronald Reagan's first inaugurations. Not to mention, Spicer claimed that Trump's inauguration was the first time "floor coverings" had been used to protect grass on the National Mall, making empty space more obvious. He was also wrong: Tarps have been used before. Now people on the internet have suggestions for some other "yuge" inaccurate facts Spicer could share next. Of course, there's already the inevitable Twitter account @SeanSpicerFacts as well as the #SpicerFacts hashtag. "They kept smiling at me and I was looking at my son like, 'What is going on?'" But when Kevon left the restaurant, it all made sense, as he saw a note on his car from the couple praising his parenting along with cash to cover his breakfast. "Today your meal is on my wife and me," it read. "Enjoy that baby as long as God intends.

    • This Week In Golf Biz: Is The Kirkland Ball Dead? Augusta National's Land Grab And Rocco's New Club

After sending seismic shock waves through an entire industry, was the Kirkland Signature golf ball ultimately just a tease with its brief, but brilliant flash-across-the-sky moment? The Costco ball that cost just $15 a dozen while delivering performance that rivaled the biggest brands in the business may indeed have gone the way of Tab, Pan Am and Blockbuster Video. Costco has indefinitely suspended production of the Kirkland balls (the K-Sig) due to supply chain issues, according to MyGolfSpy, which said the wholesaler had purchased overruns of a European ball made by its South Korean manufacturer. With that initial supply gone, Costco has no Kirkland balls left to sell and MyGolfSpy speculates that it is truly the end of the line for the briefly popular K-Sig — much to the disapppointment of cost-conscious golfers.

It's not uncommon for us to leave the movie theater itching to shop. This year gave way to plenty of films packed with stylish looks, from Natalie Portman's Chanel suit in Jackie to Emma Stone's yellow dress in La La Land. While you might not expect Passengers to be a film that sparks your fashion senses, it turns out Jennifer Lawrence couldn't leave us hanging. The actress, who plays Aurora, wears a white mesh one-piece throughout a handful of scenes, including the clip below. Its zipper-front closure lends it a sporty touch, but the piece reminds us of a lingerie bodysuit, making it equally sexy. If you're headed somewhere warm, it's just the right time to pick up the Melissa Odabash design.
