Huggies Brazil tests ‘TweetPee’ sensor

Yahoo Shopping

Wondering if your baby peed in his or her diaper? Why not check Twitter?

AdWeek reports that Huggies Brazil is testing a new product that would attach to a diaper and detect when your wee one went wee-wee. The sensor would then send a tweet to the parent via a special Huggies app.

Yes, this is real, but don't get too excited. AdWeek explains that Huggies TweetPee is currently in the concept phase.

According to AdWeek, the TweetPee app will launch in Brazil in July. The app will, according to the statement that Huggies Brazil provided to AdWeek, "help parents better keep track of the volume of diapers they use and provide easy integration with online retailers to make life easier for busy moms and dads." In other words, it will make it easier for parents to buy diapers.

But anyone who loves the idea of mixing Twitter-enabled accessories with soiled diapers may be disappointed, at least for now.

Again, Huggies Brazil's comment via AdWeek

The clip-on humidity sensor is intended merely as a concept device to help showcase these 10 parents' experience with the app. It will not be made available for purchase, nor are we suggesting parents are unable or too busy to notice when their babies' diapers need changing!

Regardless of whether the product ever sees action on the front lines of diaper duty, the concept is something to talk -- or tweet – about.

The final debate sketch wasn’t the only time Tom Hanks and Saturday Night Live decided to roast Donald Trump. S.N.L. hasn’t exactly been gentle on Trump supporters this election season. Or did you miss that fake ad last year where the show unflinchingly compared them to Nazis? So, knowing some biting political commentary is coming, it’s surprising to see Tom Hanks—who, earlier in the night, leaned into his gentle, “America’s Dad” persona—put on that red “Make America Great Again” cap for a “Black Jeopardy!” sketch. But, either way, it was good to see Hanks behind the old Jeopardy! podium where he made such a splash playing a dumbed down version of himself opposite Will Ferrell’s Alex Trebek back

Despite her father’s uncanny ability to offend and alienate women more with each passing day, Ivanka Trump has managed to maintain a relatively high level of respect throughout Donald Trump’s turbulent presidential campaign. Some would say Ivanka has even been the one saving grace for a candidate who is increasingly being viewed as little more than a misogynistic narcissist by many Americans — particularly women.

    • Miss Manners: Friend’s engagement expectations should serve as warning

October 23 at 12:00 AM Dear Miss Manners: One of my girlfriends recently got engaged. I was very happy and excited for her, as she had waited for this proposal for what seemed a long time. When she texted me with a photo of the proposal taking place, I quickly texted back my congratulations. The next day, I then followed up with a phone call to again congratulate the happy couple and find out the details of the proposal. Imagine my dismay when, a few days later, my friend discussed with me how disappointed she was in her friends’ response to her engagement! She proceeded to tell me that it really bothered her that none of her good friends took her out for Champagne to celebrate or for a manicure.

One fan saw something and said something, leading to a very grateful response from an Olympic swimmer.  Australian gold medalist Mack Horton posted on social media thanking an anonymous fan for contacting his team doctor about a suspicious mole on his chest. "Shout out to the person that emailed the swim team doctor and told me to get my mole checked out," he wrote. "Good call. Very good call." In the photo, a bandage covers Horton's chest, but he did not specify whether the mole was found to be malignant or not.  According to Cancer Council Australia, two in three Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they're 70, almost all due to exposure to the sun. Horton, who is 20, won gold
