How to do your makeup in less than 5 minutes

Use multitasking makeup products

(Use multitasking products / Photos courtesty of Benefit , Clinique)

I'm a chronic snoozer but I also refuse to leave my apartment without makeup on. So on weekday mornings, the only choice I have is to apply said makeup at lighting speed. My roommate thinks I'm some sort of wizard, but it's surprisingly easy.

The first step is to make sure your beauty products are well organized. You don't want to be digging through a drawer full of loose products in a time crunch. That skinny eye liner pencil will never reveal itself—trust me.

Next, get into a routine with key products and stick to it everyday. The morning is no time to be experimenting with blue eye shadow or false lashes. Read on for the best time-saving tricks and products.

Use X-in-1 Products

Your cheek and lip color in one bottle, your moisturizer, concealer, foundation, powder and SPF in another. Boom.

When in Doubt: Mascara

If you only leave the house with one product on, let it be mascara. It will instantly make you look more polished. Choose one that's both lengthening and volumizing.

Take Care of Your Skin at Night

Put moisturizers, acne creams and the like to work while you sleep. This way, you'll wake up with smooth and even skin that requires little work and product in the morning.

Right now I'm loving Kiehl's new Skin Rescuer that fights stress-related blotchiness and breakouts.

Ensure Good Lighting

I find that when I can't really see what I'm doing, I tend to put on way more makeup than necessary and often make mistakes. Fixing a clown-like blush job or uneven liner is not in your time budget.

    • Police baffled by couple found dead next to untouched bags of Taco Bell — and not much else

Cameron and Courtney Hulet were lying on their living room floor when a neighbor saw them. The neighbor didn’t think much of it. She heard moans and figured they were asleep. She closed the front door, which the couple had a habit of leaving open, David Uhl, manager of the southeast Michigan village of Dundee, told The Washington Post. It was Tuesday morning. The neighbor didn’t see the Hulets all day, she told authorities. She went back to check on them later that night. They were still lying next to each other. Taco Bell bags and drinks sat next to them on a table, untouched. The woman had a male friend check on them, Uhl said. Police were called to the apartment shortly before midnight on

The Cardinals were so close to winning what was the biggest defensive slog of the 2016 season. When kickers screw up, it looks spectacularly bad. Both Catanzaro and Hauschka experienced a kicker’s worst nightmare Sunday night by missing easy game-winning field goals.

    • Saturday Night Live: Tom Hanks Exposes a Surprising Truth About Trump Supporters

The final debate sketch wasn’t the only time Tom Hanks and Saturday Night Live decided to roast Donald Trump. S.N.L. hasn’t exactly been gentle on Trump supporters this election season. Or did you miss that fake ad last year where the show unflinchingly compared them to Nazis? So, knowing some biting political commentary is coming, it’s surprising to see Tom Hanks—who, earlier in the night, leaned into his gentle, “America’s Dad” persona—put on that red “Make America Great Again” cap for a “Black Jeopardy!” sketch. But, either way, it was good to see Hanks behind the old Jeopardy! podium where he made such a splash playing a dumbed down version of himself opposite Will Ferrell’s Alex Trebek back

    • Jennifer Garner, Devoted Mom, Schleps Her Daughter's School Project in a Sexy Dress

Jennifer Garner took one for the team (the team being the Garner-Affleck family) when she lugged her daughter Seraphina's school project down the street in LA on Thursday. The actress stayed chic in a navy dress and heels while carrying the giant box, which was adorably covered in glitter and had a shoe taped to it. It also read in bright letters "The Time Machine by Sera" — we can't help but wonder if the 7-year-old got help from her famous parents on the assignment. Jennifer's devotion to her kids has been evident in her recent outings; she and estranged husband Ben Affleck linked up for their little ones' first day of school in September, and days later she was spotted schlepping backpacks

Leonardo DiCaprio is all about extreme experiences. The 41-year-old actor has a new documentary on climate change, "Before the Flood," and the film's director, Fisher Stevens, recently told the story of how DiCaprio almost died in 2010 before work on the doc even began. "The second time we properly hung out together was in 2010 when I was invited to film [oceanographer] Sylvia Earle for a TED conference expedition to the Galapagos. Leo was on the expedition," Stevens recalls to GQ. "I was filming Sylvia and I had this little easy camera to shoot underwater, and he was Sylvia's diving buddy, so I said, 'Would you film Sylvia?' And he said, 'Yeah I love it man, I love it.'" Only, things went horribly
