Nothing ruins a spring break trip quite like a bad sunburn, as I know from an unfortunate firsthand experience.

During my junior year of college, I went on a spring break cruise to the Caribbean. Within hours of leaving from Miami, I fell asleep while sunbathing on the deck of the ship and woke up to rashy, blistery third-degree burns on everything from my fingers to half of my face. I looked frightening, and felt even worse. I spent the rest of the week in the shade, wearing baggy t-shirts and clutching a bottle of aloe vera.

To all you crazy kids about to embark on a week of springtime sun and fun: learn from my rookie mistake! Here are 8 sunscreens that will keep your skin from taking on an unflattering lobster-like hue.

It can be hard to pinpoint what makes a late-night show work so well with audiences, but The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon seems to have cracked the code. Over the last few years, the series has become one of the most popular late-night offerings, consistently dominating in the ratings season after season. While much of this has to do with the charisma of the man in front of the camera, it's important to remember those behind the scenes as well. With that in mind, it now seems The Tonight Show has suffered a major loss, as showrunner Josh Lieb has officially left the series. After serving as the late-night series' showrunner for several years, Josh Lieb has decided to step down from The

    • Doctors thought he just had jock itch. Then it spread.

Late Friday afternoon on Dec. 4, 2014, Stephen Schroeder was waiting to board his packed flight from Philadelphia to Las Vegas for a much anticipated long weekend with his son when his cellphone rang. On the line was an unexpected caller: his doctor, reporting test results sooner than Schroeder had expected. Listening intently, Schroeder was flooded with disbelief as he struggled to comprehend what he was hearing. Using the lip of a trash can as a writing surface, he scribbled notes on the back of his boarding pass, making the doctor spell out each unfamiliar word. Then he sent a terse text to his wife, who was at their home in the Philadelphia suburbs, and got on the plane. Onboard, Schroeder,

Dear Amy: My 20-year-old daughter is in love with her former soccer coach, who is 53. When she was 16, he started coaching her team in high school. After graduating, she assisted him as a coach. Apparently the affair started in earnest last year. He is not employed and is married with three children; his oldest is the same age as my daughter. He and his wife are now divorcing. She saw a therapist and was dismissed due to her disinterest in the process. My husband and I have spoken to four therapists; all saying she should be released into the world, because she wants to control her own life. I agree with this. My husband wants her to stay home. We are divided about what to do. We have agreed

The principal at a lower Manhattan high school was beaten to a pulp by a student on Monday when he told the teen to remove his headphones, sources said. Principal Matthew Tossman of Manhattan Early College School for Advertising, which is in inside Murry Bergtraum HS, spotted 18-year-old Luis Penzo with his headphones blasting in the hallway around noon, according to police sources. • There is a new longest non-stop flight

If you're looking to rack up thousands and thousands of air miles in one fell swoop, you might consider Air India's nonstop flight from Delhi to San Francisco — now 870 miles longer, since the route has changed to fly across the Pacific, rather than across the Atlantic. By changing the route, the flight is now the longest in the world at 9,506 miles, surpassing Emirates' Dubai-Auckland route, which had been the former record holder. But Air India didn't change their route just to get the title — by flying over the Pacific, the Boeing-777 200ER planes knock two hours off the flight time by taking advantage of the Jet Stream. Unfortunately, you're still on a plane for a total of 14-and-a-half hours.
