I purchaced a Fujinon TH13x3.5BRMU 13x 1/3" JVC ProHD Lens for $625. They posted detailed pics of the item as being in prime condition. Then they called me up a few days later and cancelled my order after I had paid for it and passed up another lens ...of the same type that they had posted on ebay for only $125 more. Also on the 9th of the same month I had purchaced a headset from them only to get a notice two days later say they did not have such in stock as they had advertised prior and had no idea when it would be in. As far as the lens they would not sell me the other one, they would not fix the one sold to me and they would not sell it to me as is and their posting says as follows: Items Included: Fujinon TH13x3.5BRMU 13x 1/3" JVC ProHD Lens Lens Hood Tested prior to listing. Very happy with ease of ordering.
I ordered an item from Adorama online and received an email 2 hours later saying that the item was back ordered. No real problem, although it would be nice if they'd update their website to show the correct availability. The problem was that they'd a...lready placed a hold on my credit card. I sent them an email suggesting they should not place credit card holds before making certain they had the ordered item in stock. I received an obnoxious boilerplate response two days later explaining how credit card holds worked and that the hold would automatically drop off after 7 days. I then requested they call my credit card issuer to release the hold. I even gave them the phone number of the credit card issuer. After another two days, I received the response that "Chris has already assisted you in this matter." They completely ignored my request to call my credit card issuer to release the hold. I sent them another email repeating my request. There has been no response. The saddest part is that they still show this item on their website as available! Read more Less
Instead of selling me a new camera, they sent me an open box(previously returned) camera. They're explanation was that t the camera they sent me was as recieved from sony. How to explain the reciept from the previous owner that was in the box?? Still...waiting for an answer. And about the customer service rep from Adorama who told us that there was no supervisor to complain to. Still no explanation. Unless you have the expertise to really discern new from previously returned items, suggest you go to a different supplier. To date, Adorama's explanations do not ring true. Read more Less
