TireBuyer does not stand behind their guarantee for installation satisfaction.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Sep 8, 2016

Bought 2 tires on TireBuyer which were shipped to one of their Installers (Mr. Tire) for installation on my 2013 Honda Fit. After installation, my tires were losing air rapidly to the point my "Low Pressure" light came on after a few days. I took my ...car to a 3rd party who let me know one of the TPMS sensors was damaged during installation and heavy leakage was occurring around it. I then took my car back to the original TireBuyer installer (Mr. Tire) who was incredibly rude but agreed to replace the TPMS sensor and reinstall (Note: I did not want to return to Mr. Tire, but wanted them to fix what they messed up at no cost). After getting my car back the 2nd time, the "TPMS" light was on indicating the system was not registering my tires' pressure (basically my car was returned to me in a state that is illegal to drive). At this point, I had enough with Mr. Tire and decided to go to the dealership to have my TPMS system software updated. This ended up costing me $115. I contacted TireBuyer to let them know what had happened and that I feel my $115 should be refunded due to the 2 unsuccessful trips I made to Mr. Tire. TireBuyer told me there was nothing that could be done since I went to the dealership. Bottom line: If you have a TPMS system in your car (if your car is recently new then it does), be very careful where you have your tires shipped for installation. It is very likely the shop will not know how to work with your specific TPMS system. This can cost you time and/or the $ you were trying to save by buying the tires online. Additionally, TireBuyer will not stand by their guarantee for installation satisfaction. Read more Less

      work begins after ordering

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 30, 2016

After selecting the tires the work begins. Tires were going to be delivered in 5days. Checked tracking number each day and nothing was shipped. Called them on the 5day and the service person said he had never seen this before but would get them shipp...ed from a different warehouse. So about 2 weeks after ordering the tires arrive at the tire shop. My father takes the truck down and has the tire installed then calls me saying that they charge him $104 not the $68quote on Tirebuyer. TireBuyer says you had the lifetime balance put on not the standard. Do you think they asked which mounting you want? Just a pain thru the whole process, go somewhere else. Buy from a one stop shop and save yourself a headache of dealing with these people. Read more Less

      poor customer relations

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 9, 2016

Last fall I purchased 4-new Continental brand tires. The brand and type was one of 2 that were recommended locally. At the time they advertised a $70.00 rebate to be issued by the mfr. With this in mind, I was able to purchase the tires at a small sa...vings when taking the rebate into account -- or so I thought. After not hearing from them for several weeks, I contacted TireBuyer. They said the offer had expired and neither they or Continental would do anything about it. They claim that adequate notices were included with the receipt and elsewhere on their site. They did not explain that this would NOT be automatic when when registered the tires. They and Continental say there is nothing they can do once the offer has expired. I have an issue with their word "can't" -- they should have said "won't". My judgment of a business is largely based upon how they go about solving a problem if one arises. They do not seem concerned about the integrity of their relationships with customers; therefore, I can't give good ratings in several categories. Had they helped solve the problem the ratings would be much higher. This actually became 2 purchases -- the first and the last. :( Read more Less

      Excellent Tires

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Mar 4, 2016

After much research for the best rated affordable tires, and after waiting for a good discount from TireBuyer, I ordered four Continental TrueContact tires for my 2010 Subaru Forester with free shipping to Mr. Tire near my home in Toms River NJ. At t...his time I would say that I am completely satisfied with this purchase, the price of the tires, the ordering, shipping, and TireBuyer customer service communication. I would rate this company as Excellent. Also, the service at Mr. Tire was courteous, professional, and affordable. Of course the true test will be driving my Subaru Forester in the months and seasons to come. I will also forward this review online. Thank you, Read more Less

      False Advertising

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Nov 2, 2015

I was attempting to purchase tires through TireBuyer.com. There was a button to save $20 on your first order when you sign up for the newsletter, but when I received the email, it was only off 4 tires! If they had stated that in the initial offer, I ...never would have clicked the button!! In the end, I found a better deal by going with my local tire guy. Hooray Ellijay TIre!! Read more Less

Ordered online was so easy. Fill out what kind of vehicle you need tires for, then all that will fit your vehicle is displayed, pick which one you want. Free shipping was great..gives you the price of what the installer will charge to put them on. I ...got 4 uniroyal tiger paws for $312.00. Never have I got tires that cheap. Never. Read more Less

      Stupid Reviewers

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Aug 16, 2014 | 2 out of 2 found this TireBuyer.com review helpful

I see a lot of reviews from idiots who bought tires and were not satisfied with the tires later. That is NOT the fault of the seller! The quality of the tire is the fault of the manufacturer! And it is YOUR responsibility to do a little research befo...re choosing your tires! Stop being idiots and blaming the seller for something that was NOT their fault! Read more Less

      TireBuyer is Dishonest and Deceptive

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jul 24, 2014 | 1 out of 2 found this TireBuyer.com review helpful

I made purchases from TireBuyer.com using a promotion code that they email me. The coupon had no terms or conditions listed in the body of the email nor on their website. In good faith I submitted my orders using the coupons and hours later I receive...d cancelation messages without explanation. Disturbed by the lack of explanation and seeing that the promotional details are not listed on their website I phoned TireBuyer.com customer care number. After getting passed around I reached a manager who was fairly rude. He was accusatory and did not allow me to finish speaking. I asked for support of their terms and conditions as none were listed on the website. He was not able to nor willing to assist. TireBuyer.com has canceled my orders and has not released the hold from my credit card. Tire Buyer's practice of offering promotional coupons without corresponding terms or conditions then making up terms and conditions is misleading and deceptive. Read more Less
