      Stay away from this company.

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 28, 2015

Although their prices are good, their customer service is terrible. If you have no problems with an appliance or its delivery (they have their own shipper), you will be satisfied because of the good price. If you do have a problem, you will be furiou...s that you ever dealt with them. Here is our experience----We received a damaged dishwasher, and they refused to pay for the return shipping. After months of delays and excuses, they called an appliance repair business and ordered a repair call without our requesting or knowing of it. Two days later the owner of the repair business called us to cancel the repair call because he was upset that "we" had been so rude when "we" called to order the repair. But we had never called him! Instead, someone in A.C.'s customer service department had impersonated me--actually lied about who he was--and had given the repair company our info (phone number, card number, etc.) in ordering the service call. A.C.'s assumption was, I believe, that when the serviceman arrived at our door we would give in and let him repair the appliance, and we would have had to pay for it, since "we" had ordered the repair. Fortunately the repair service owner and I worked out the deception during our phone conversation. He advised us to work through our credit card company. We did so, and Chase Card resolved the problem for us. We the customers did not have the leverage to get a refund, but Chase did. We still have the dishwasher (still unused, it is on our porch). We gave A.C. a date to come pick it up or we will donate it to a charity (they want us to pay to return it, but we will not pay for that). Over a month has passed, and we have not heard from them.Advice: (1) Read the reviews here and on other review sites to see how often A.C. has stiffed customers. I'm positive that you will never see such a large percentage of unhappy customers, and that you will decide to stay away from them. (2) If you nevertheless buy from them, be sure you have a credit card company that will help you resolve disputes. You will not win on your own. They collect from your card company immediately, before shipping, and you, as an individual with a dispute, will not have the leverage to get your money back.Summary: Believe every complaint that you read here, and check other review sites (we, obviously, had not done so). Have you ever seen so many negative reviews? And note that A.C. is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau. In short, pay 5-10% more for your appliances and call it a good investment. Even if your credit card company will fight for you and you ultimately win (as we did), you will experience delays and rudeness from their customer support people. If you buy one appliance, you might have a satisfacory experience with them. If you buy more than one, the odds of your being lucky go down. We bought an order of five appliances, and only one was damaged. But the time lost (it took us five months before Chase finally resolved our issue), and the agony of dealing with A.C. are not worth the money you save.Good luck if you decide to gamble. Shipping & Installation Problem

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 17, 2015

"Have to say almost the worst buying experience I have had in a long time. Two things in my purchase that were most important was delivery date & appliance installation. Neither which I received. Rather than purchasing my range online, I called the c...ompany and spoke with a representative. I purchased the expedited shipping, installation & gas line with my purchase. The expedited shipping stated that it would be delivered in 4-7 days. I placed my order on May 13th and received it on June 3rd. When the range arrived the delivery/installation company was not able to install the range and also tried to collect $25 cash for the gas line. I had to contact the company to get the delivery men to leave the gas line. I ended up doing the installation myself. Appliances Connection did refund the expedited shipping and installation charges, but the reason I purchased from them rather than another vendor was because of those two items. Now today, 6/17, I get a call from the delivery/installation company saying they want to come install my range. Amazing the incompetence." Read more Less

fter numerous attempts to resolve a problem with Appliances Connection I couldn't. For two...months I've tried to work with them to repair the broken glass from a cooktop and I refused to accept redelivery without the cooktop being fully tested. I've put the charge in dispute with the credit card company and appliances connection will need to resolve it with them.As a summary here are the threats and profanities that were made:1) I was called a "Little #$%$" when I refused to accept the cooktop and disputed the charge with the credit card company.2) Was threatened with a mechanics lien on any property I owned 3) Was threatened with a small claims suit for triple the amount that was paid for on the cooktop4) Was threatened to have all my warranties voided for all the other appliances that were delivered (undamaged).5) Was threatened to have ALL my rebates voided for the other appliances I received.6) Was threatened to have them file a 1099 with the IRS and be forced to pay taxes on over $20k+ of appliances. Interesting part is this order was less than $7k....Hmmm...strange.I'm not sure this is how an online merchant is supposed to behave. I'm nor sure if people want to do business with a company that is this shady. I contacted my attorney to inform him of this situation and he said their tactics are illegal. Threatening collection tactics are wrongful by law in the State of Texas.Appliances Connection has great prices...which is how they make their sales. If the delivery goes flawlessly then you will have appliances at a great price, but if you have any issues with them you can count on problems, delays, threats and scare tactics. Please learn from my lesson and take your business elsewhere. If you search google shopping you will find the same prices from other online merchants. You will be happier in the end. Read more Less

      DAMAGED PRODUCT IS A NORM & 10 day=25day delivery

By Yahoo! Shopping User  May 15, 2015

AVOID AT ALL COST!!! I was originally told that delivery would take 10 days (NJ to CA), then later found out it would be much longer so I quickly called to change my delivery to express (which was in fact the 10day), to further find out that they DID...N'T send it express nor did it even leave the warehouse even days after ordering, they then proceeded to charge me extra for it which I had to dispute to refund. When my washer and dryer arrived the washer had a MAJOR dent in it (the little bit of packaging that was around it was in tact, meaning it was knowingly sent damaged). When I refused the shipment (had to get a quick replacement from Home Depot close by) it took multiple emails and phone calls as well as disputing the charge with Amex to FINALLY get a refund of a LESSER amount than the agreed. Their explanation was that because I didn't buy the washer/dryer together (which would have taken another month to get had I waited for a replacement) I was no longer able to get the discount for the purchased pair. What scammers!!! They couldn't even do the right thing after all that I had to do to wait/replace/refund etc... HORRIBLE service and longer than promised delivery, then damaged product. Don't buy from them!!! Look at all the 1 star reviews and they all say the same. Save yourself the headache and go to Home Depot, Lowes or Best Buy where they value their customers and will stand behind their pricing (I'm sure they'll price match anything offered at Appliances Connection). Absolutely unprofessional

I work at a general contracting company and I do a lot of online purchasing for our customers and when I say this was a total scam of a company please take my word! While looking for a mini refrigerator for a customer I found this website had the bes...t price for the hard to find specs on a specific sized mini refrigerator. I should've known it was too good to be true. It was listed as In Stock and with FREE shipping. I ordered the fridge on the 15th of April and I waited for over a week with no email conformation then tried to get online to track my order. I couldn't access my account with my password. I wrote the password down and typed it correctly 3 times and still no access so I decided to do the obvious thing and reset the password. I waited for a day to get an email for the password reset… nothing. I tried to reset it again. 2 days later still no email. So I called. I spoke with someone who said the fridge would be getting to them on April 26th then it would be shipped. On April 27th I called back because I STILL had not received any sort of email even indicating that my order processed let alone a tracking number. I spoke with someone who said it was supposed to get to them very soon and apologized because they were "having problems sending emails to .net email addresses"... ok, I'll pretend that's true so I can get this darn fridge with no added issues. The guy said he'd email me when it shipped...but wait, they can't send emails to .net addresses so I asked if they can call me instead. He said it was no problem. I got a phone call on April 30th...15 days after I ordered the fridge. It was the same guy I had spoken to the time before. He said it has shipped and is estimated to arrive to me by May 11th... MAY 11TH!!! And he made sure to say that was just estimation!!! That's 26 days since I ordered the product! When I told him that was unacceptable he said "well it WAS on back order"... I told him it said it was In Stock then he said "but we emailed you saying it was on back order" and I pointed out to him that he was "having problems emailing .net emails, remember?" So my boss said to cancel the order and the guy turned into a complete jerk and was charging me $247.45 for shipping and restocking fee!!!!! But the shipping was supposed to be free!! And when I asked him how was it my fault when I never received any kind of indication that the fridge was on back order he yelled at me, YELLED, saying "you wanted me to call you telling you when it shipped and now you want me to cancel the order?" Oh and this was supposed to be the manager I was speaking with! There is so much I'm leaving out but it's getting me really upset as I'm typing this so I will stop here...bottom line is that Appliance Connection is totally unprofessional and will take your money whether you get your product or not! Beware of this company!

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 3, 2015 | 1 out of 1 found this AppliancesConnection.com review helpful

I am not sure how a company like this can remain in business, as someone in sales and marketing I am shocked at how bad and deceitful this company is. I ordered a $1619 TV set from them. The item was dropped off and having worked when it was delivere...d with no choice of dates to receive it I set it up 2 days later only to find the screen was destroyed when it was plugged in. I called the next day and followed their requests for pictures and the like, they finally agreed to send me another TV that wasnt broken but claimed my 71 year old mother signed and opened it to only break it. They brought the next TV and I made it a point to open it with the drivers there and amazingly enough this too was broken. The drivers made a point to tell me the shipping area is bad and "stuff breaks all the time". I kept the original TV and sent them back with the replacement which was also broken. I called the following day and they tried to order me yet a 3rd but decided they couldnt find one so I paid $100 to upgrade to a different TV. 2 weeks passed with no contact about when it would be delivered so when I called they said they assumed it had arrived. I then decided enough was enough, I wanted them to just come and remove the TV and since I had my money back from my dispute with my credit card company they would be happy to do it. A man named Calvin who is a manager there promised me they would come and pick it up and we would be clear. I had no trouble letting them keep a $75 fee I paid on the second TV as a delivery charge to get this out and let me done with it. 2 more weeks pass and no one from the shipping company has contacted me, I then call back AC and they said well we wont do anything until the dispute is over, apparently the money my card took back got recharged and now they were paid so they didnt have to come get it. I couldnt talk to Calvin all day, he wouldnt call or help me out, news for him is my card has taken the money back and this is going into an arbitration phase. This is a sad set of circumstances, they sure couldnt let me know what was going on ever but they did know when they got their money back. I am telling any of you reading this review to not do business with them, they are liars, they are deceitful and will scam you at any chance they can. I went overboard to try and make it work with them giving them multiple opportunities to make it right and they have left me in the wind. If you do business with them assume they will treat you as they treated me and so many people on here: terribly. I made the mistake of not checking the BBB on them and should have, its a list of 340+ complaints on them, be WARNED this company is awful. Even the 1 person (Tyiesha) whom I thought was helping me must have been put in her place to not help me any further. Read more Less

      Very Enjoyable Customer Service :)

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Apr 2, 2015

Thanks very much to customer service for helping with my online order that had a problem* and to co-ordinate with the moving company to further delay my shipment as I moved to my new location - this was of immense help! My online account creation was...a problem (the only reason it wasn't five stars), but they followed up very quickly when emailed (five stars!). My calls resulted in first time resolutions (five stars!). The shipment was delivered as scheduled. Thanks to Ray Dixon for going the extra mile to research further regarding parts accessories. Although AC doesn't sell the particular accessory, Rays' extra customer care made service at Appliance Connection an excellent experience. Also additional thanks to Gary B for giving me the heads-up to post in the right place :) * Web problems probably due to the many web security settings I have. Read more Less

Do not order from this company. I thought I was getting a great deal. Yes, the price was cheaper BUT they said item was IN STOCK and QUICK SHIP. What a bunch of BS! I ordered on February 28th. The money was deducted from my checking account on March ...3rd, but never received my item until MARCH 31st! You call that QUICK SHIP? I don't consider over a month wait, QUICK SHIP Read more Less
