We received a Christmas gift from GiftTree that was horrible! The fruit was old, bruised and a few pieces were actually rotting! We notified the sender that they deserved a full refund of their money.
Ordered once and they failed miserably...thought I would give them another shot a year later just to get disappointed again. Looking at other reviews..its a wonder why they are still in business.
I ordered from GiftTree.com before and sent an anniversary gift to my sister-in-law a couple years ago. She was so happy to receive a gift so I was satisfied with GiftTree.com and didn't think to double check that everything I ordered was provided.Th...is second time I ordered from GiftTree.com, I wanted to get a thank you gift for my next door neighbor. I had a very expensive $100+ gift basket sent to my house with a gift message to them. When I received it, it was wrapped in plastic and everything was stacked flat on top of each other so it was hard for me tell if all the products were in the basket. The picture on their website also shows a bar of Godiva chocolate but the website description does not list this which I think is deceiving. I was also really annoyed that one of the wine bottles had the back label facing up. Aside from poor presentation (for the price), I wasn't sure this was the wine that was promised to come with the gift basket and I was not about to take off the plastic since it was a gift.I was really surprised at the poor presentation, especially since the reviews on GiftTree were near perfect and one reviewer on GiftTree's website even said the contents come exactly as pictured and did not look as if it was packaged for delivery. When I came across the Yahoo Shopping Reviews and I was shocked to see GiftTree.com received 2 stars from reviewers. This seemed more realistic. I wrote a 3 star review that is still waiting to be approved on their website....if they are an honest company. Now, I'm wondering if my neighbors really got what I read in the website description. I ordered two gifts: the first one was a gift basket which came with wrong and poor quality items and not what was on the discription at all. When asked they said they ran out of the items so they substituted (I was not informed about it or asked if ...I wanted to order something else). I called them and was told I'd get a call back instead I got an email. I was asked to send pictures of the items so I sent them pictures then I was told in order to get a full refund I have to return the item. It was a gift! How can I ask someone return a gift? Bad enough it looked so cheap and I had to ask the person to sent me pictures of the gift so I can send it to gifttree customer service.Second one was 5 days late (3 business days). They said it was because of the weather. Both items were ordered (at the same time) at least a week ahead of time, both went to the same city and state but only one of them made it on the correct day. Read more Less
I ordered a birthday candle for my aunt on the 14th of the month to be delivered on the 31st. It did not arrive on time. I called customer service and was told that because I did not pay for expedited shipping, I could not expect it to be on time. Th...en why do they allow customers to choose a date? I ordered champagne, spent over $500. They continued trying to deliver on the wrong date even after I contacted customer service a FEW TIMES. BUT THE BEST PART OF ALL, is when they delivered something other than what I ordered, something cheaper. I c...ontacted customer service again. They began ignoring my emails. I called, and was told that I would be contacted by Sara Marlo's boss, but never was, cause they are liars. They substituted a cheaper champagne and won't refund me or anything!
