My favorite pair of Marimekko Converse from the Spring 2013 collection

My favorite pair of Marimekko Converse from the Spring 2013 collection

I love sneakers. I love sneakers with jeans, dresses, suits and ball gowns. My personal brand of choice is Converse, the classic Chuck Taylors. I have a large collection of limited edition colors, patterns and artists collaborations.

Racked SF, a style and shopping website, recently interviewed me and wrote and article about my Converse obsession. What is it about sneakers to love so much? Comfort and playfulness. I live in San Francisco and walking around in crazy heels is not practical or safe. I need to be able to cross cable car tracks, run from crazy hobos and hike up Nob Hill to get home. I also love that sneakers can help an outfit seem like you're not trying too hard. Sexy dress, sexy makeup, sexy heels...expected. Sexy dress, sexy makeup and unique playful sneakers....unexpected and comfy!

I have scoured the internet to find some fun and fresh kicks to "Spring-ify" your wardrobe and keep your feet ultra-comfortable. Here are my top picks!

I have to start with Converse, as they are my personal favorites. I am really loving the Converse collaboration with Finnish textile and clothing design company Marimekko. Marimekko was established in 1951 and the brand is known for their bold use of color and original prints. Marimekko designs housewares, clothing, bags and accessories and fabrics. The designs they have created for their Converse collection are graphic, bright and really unique. A pair of Marimekko/Chuck Taylors would take a basic pair of jeans and a t-shirt to a whole new level of interesting and fresh!

The Marimekko Converse are very limited edition so snatch em' up quick. They retail $75 on the Converse website. Sometimes I will see limited edition colors and styles at discount stores like Marshalls or even at the Converse Outlets, but I don't anticipate seeing this particular collaboration there.

Kate Spade for Keds

Kate Spade for Keds

In the early part of this year I was online shopping, feeling drab and bored of wearing boots everyday. I started searching for the shoes that would be coming out in Spring, to cheer myself up. I stumbled upon the Kate Spade for Keds collection and I kind of flipped out. I am a huge Kate Spade fan and let's face it Keds are an american classic. You can't go wrong with Kate or Keds! These adorable sneaks are easy to wear with anything from a sun dress to short shorts! The colors and patterns are vibrant, but also classic. I think anyone, no matter age or style could find a unique way to add these shoes into their wardrobe.

You can find these limited edition kicks at Nordstroms, Bloomingdales and Kate Spade Boutiques. They retail at $75.

*Bonus Pick* The Taylor Swift for Keds sneakers are super cute too! Tons of cute styles to chose from (I would lose the Taylor Swift charm) and they are only about $50.

"We'll have a Wiffle Ball" sneaker on modcloth.com

"We'll have a Wiffle Ball" sneaker on modcloth.com

I spent countless childhood summers running around in my "Jellies" sandals. The Jellies of the 80's were little plastic slip-ons that could be worn in the water. I had lots of different styles, some even infused with glitter! The down-side of 80's Jellies were that they were made of pretty hard plastic and would definitely give you blisters. Also plastic shoes are not breathable, so my feet would sweat and slide around them. A few years ago I discovered the Melissa, a brand that makes super cool designer plastic shoes. Melissa has partnered with luxury designers like Vivienne Westwood, Jason Wu and most recently Karl Lagerfeld. Melissa shoes can run up to several hundred dollars, so I was delighted to hear that a new lower priced line had been launched. Mel Shoes is Melissa Shoes little sister! Mel Shoes are vegan, recyclable and comfortable. I especially like the "We'll have a Wiffle Ball sneaker" that I found on modcloth.com

Mel Shoes "We'll have a Wiffle Ball" plastic sneakers retail $54.99.

I would love to wear these shoes to a picnic, on a first-date...anywhere really! I love the bold red color with the classic sneaker shape. The plastic texture makes them modern and the tiny holes throughout the shoe allow your feet to breathe. I can wear the Jellies of my childhood without blisters and sweaty toes!

Ok, ladies, what are your favorite sneakers and how do you wear them?

The text message was sent way back on July 5, 2013. In a plea deal, Bradley, however, gave authorities full access to his phone, including deleted and otherwise privileged communication with his lawyer.

CAPE CANAVERAL — Stephen Marr had his suspicions when he photographed a mysterious piece of equipment atop SpaceX's drone ship at Port Canaveral on Monday. "I knew there was something different there," Marr, 34, said. So he did what any lover of space and social media would do: He posted it online. Reddit users quickly propelled Marr's clear, high-resolution photo to the top of the website's SpaceX community and so began discussion that the object was likely a highly anticipated robot that would interact with Falcon 9 first stages. "Optimus Prime," as some have nicknamed it, could one day secure first stages after they land on SpaceX's autonomous spaceport drone ships. Like previous upgrades,

March 22 (UPI) -- A New Zealand fisherman captured video of his encounter with a large great white shark that stalked his boat for several minutes. Sean McCormack said he was fishing in the early afternoon in his small boat off Red Beach, north of Auckland, when the shark swam up to his boat and took the burley bag he was using to lure fish to his location. McCormack said the shark, which he captured on video, appeared to be about as long as his 12-foot boat. "It totally freaked me out," he told One News Now. "I was trembling like a schoolgirl. I was totally adrenalized, mate." He said the shark broke his line, stole his catch, and knocked into his boat with its tail before swimming away. McCormack

But I don’t understand why people we thought were close to us haven’t acknowledged our loss in any way. Some of them have — or had — pets at one time. • A teen made a website where kittens punch Trump. So, Trump unleashed his lawyers.

President Trump is busy this week helping to make sure millions of Americans don't lose their health insuran — -sorry, I mean, shutting down a teenage girl. 17-year-old Lucy from San Francisco recently designed a site called Kittenfeed.com (initially called TrumpScratch), where users get to punch Trump's face with tiny little kitchen paws. It seemed like a pretty harmless, anti-Trump site (the kittens don't even scratch!) — until she got a letter from the lawyers of a certain "well known businessman," The Observer reports.  SEE ALSO: People can't stop sharing this cartoon about Trump's 'Muslim ban' That "internationally known" and "famous" businessman (his lawyers words, not mine) is, of course, Donald Trump. In the letter, Trump's general counsel encourages the teen to cease and desist and shut down the website.  Image: www.kittenfeed.com After receiving the letter, Lucy decided to change the name of the website to Kittenfeed.com. That wasn't enough for Trump's counsel, who reportedly continued to press the 17-year-old girl. The family is waiting to see their next move. "It’s so sad that his administration is focused more on being liked, burying real news and taking down sites like mine as they supposedly make him look bad," Lucy told The Observer. Predictably, Trump's lawyers letter had the opposite effect of their intention. After The Observer published the report yesterday, the site's visitors surged from 3,000 to 50,000. Lesson: you can mess with Trump's lawyers, but don't you ever touch an animated kitten. WATCH: Robotic glove lets people with limited hand mobility perform daily tasks
