Flower lip butter

Flower lip butter

Oh, you have your own fashion line and fragrance? So what! Nowadays, it seems that it’s not enough for you to just be a celebrity with your own clothing line, fragrance, shoes, the list can go on and on. Now, several celebs even have their own beauty product line! If you're wondering if any of these products are worth shopping for, read on to see which picks made my list.

Flower by Drew Barrymore

What it is: The former face of CoverGirl cosmetics, this actress/new mom is the latest to join the cosmetic club.

Her new line, Flower, features the tag line “Love The Way You Look.” Available for purchase at Wal-Mart and Walmart.com, there are 181 units in the collection that ranges from eyeliners to nail polish.

The packaging itself is pretty clean and simple which is great because (and this is just my personal opinion) beauty products that feature tons of embellishments are usually a turn off.

According to recent article in Women’s Wear Daily, which announced the launching of the line, the formulas are custom-made at the same price as those used in luxury products.

Key product: Lip Butter ($6.98, Walmart.com) Anything that has the word “butter” in it has to be amazing, right? Well, this is no different. Available in 9 shades (some are already sold out), this lip moisturizer glides on smooth and leaves lips feeling super soft with a hint of shine.

Nuance by Salma Hayek

Nuance By Salma Hayek

What it is: Who knew that Salma harbored such a love for beauty products? The actress and mom is the brains behind beauty brand Nuance, an impressive array of cosmetics, hair as well as skincare products.

Inspired by her grandmother, Hayek says she created the line “to help every woman enhance the nuances that define her individual beauty.” Each product is available for purchase exclusively at CVS and CVS.com.

Key product: Anti-Aging Wrinkle Filler Eye Serum ($20, CVS.com) As a personal skincare product hoarder, it makes sense that I would gravitate more towards these items in the line. The Anti-Aging Wrinkle Filler Eye Serum contains one of those cooling rollerballs, which makes for easy application. Each of her skincare products boasts some type of “beauty secret” outlined on the side of the package so you can pretend that you’re exclusively privy to some exotic ingredients while applying.

CoverGirl Queen Collection Jumbo Gloss Balm

CoverGirl Queen Collection by Queen Latifah

What it is: Rapping, acting, singing…there isn’t much this woman hasn’t done! She not only serves as the face of CoverGirl, but she’s also got her very own stand alone collection with the brand specifically targeted to women of color.

Key product: CoverGirl Queen Collection Jumbo Gloss Balm ($7.49, at Target and other drugstores nationwide) In addition to hoarding skincare products, I’m also known to do the same with lip gloss. However, this year, I’ve promised myself and the rest of my beauty blogging friends that I’m going to strictly stick to lipstick. However, this gloss balm is like the perfect hybrid between a lip gloss and a lipstick in that it leaves your lips super soft and hydrated with.

Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford

Meaningful Beauty by Cindy Crawford

Meaningful Beauty By Cindy Crawford

What it is: Yes, she’s one of the most stunning women to ever walk the planet. Alright, so maybe that’s a bit of a stretch, but you have to admit that Cindy Crawford is a pretty attractive lady. That’s basically how her skincare line started: she wanted to be able to maintain her beauty while still living her busy life. So, she partnered with French anti-aging specialist Dr. Jean Louis Sebagh (the man responsible for helping her to maintain that amazing skin of hers over the years) to develop her own line of skincare products.

Yahoo! Shopping Editor, Krista DeWeese has been using the Meaningful Beauty products for 5 weeks and noticed a huge difference in the texture and tone of her skin. Krista says, "In just a short amount of time, my skin is totally renewed. I've used many products over the course of a decade and haven't seen results this dramatic! My pores are disappearing and my skin tone is even, and I didn't even have to wait that long to see a difference."

Key product: Crème de Serum (bundled with the New Advanced System, $39.95, meaningfulbeauty.com and also available at Sephora inside of JCPenney stores) It’s already quite confusing to figure out whether or not you should use a cream or serum. This is why it’s a great thing that Cindy and Dr. Sebagh figured that we all needed both so she created this triple potency product that combines the power of a serum with the rich moisturizing effects of a cream. Genius!

Khroma Beauty

Khroma Beauty

Khroma Beauty by Kim, Kourtney & Khloe Kardashian

What it is: They’ve already oversaturated the clothing market, so why not add in beauty? Say what you want about these reality starlets, but their makeup always looks flawless, so it makes total sense that they would come out with their own line of cosmetics.

Key product: Khloe’s Kardazzle Face Palette ($12.99, ulta.com) While I can’t say that I’ve tested every single item in the cosmetic line, I can say that I am a fan of this palette that contains the perfect eyeshadow to create a nude, smoky eye. As an added bonus, it also contains a blush and bronzer so it’s perfect for on-the-go touch ups.

    • Reaction Grades: What they think about Cowboys DE of Taco Charlton

The pick is in and Taco Charlton is officially the newest member of the Dallas Cowboys. A first round filled with quite a few surprises, saw many Cowboys fans disappointed in the selection of the Michigan defensive end. What about those who don’t microscope any and all things Dallas? What did they think about the pick? The Cowboys have a preference for big defensive ends, and they certainly get one in the 6’5 Charlton. This is about where he should have come off the board. He allows Dallas to play three- and four-man fronts. Charton had bouts of inconsistency, but when he was on he warranted a first-round pick. He was a disappointment prior to last season, but he broke out with a final 2016 campaign

    • Man kicked off Delta Air Lines flight for needing to use the bathroom

Kimi Hamilton was travelling from Atlanta to Milwaukee on a Delta Air Lines plane when he urgently needed to use the toilet as take-off proceedings were underway. In fellow passenger Krista Rosolino's view, Hamilton's removal from the April 18 flight was an outrage and so was everyone else's forced exit from the plane when it returned to the gate in Atlanta. The Delta Air Lines quick-take on this incident is that federal law requires passengers to comply with crew instructions or run the risk of being seen as a security threat.

A study has finally found the source of Antarctica’s gruesome "Blood Falls". It’s been 106 years since Australian geologist Griffith Taylor discovered the vivid red falls flowing from the glacier named after him, onto the ice lake West Lake Bonney. It was originally thought to be caused by red algae, but it wasn’t until 2003 that it was decided the red color came from oxidized iron and water was most likely draining from a five-million-year-old saltwater lake. Now a study from the University of Alaska Fairbanks and Colorado College confirms the glacier not only has a lake underneath it, it also has its own water system which has been flowing for a million years. The team used echolocation to

For most of us, Kate Middleton came into our lives officially when her engagement to Prince William was announced back in October 2010. When the couple married in April 2011, the world was introduced to the woman we now know as the duchess of Cambridge, a wife, humanitarian, mother of two, and of course, future queen. With all the information we've gotten about Kate's duties as duchess, we started thinking about what her life was like before she was thrust into the spotlight as a global icon. Sure, in a lot of ways she's changed since getting married (who hasn't?), but we have to believe that underneath her title, she's still the same old Kate.
