My uncompromising trial

I am a full time Makeup Artist with twelve years of experience under my belt. I also happen to work for Benefit Cosmetics. I do not claim to ONLY wear Benefit products. I am obsessed with all things makeup from various brands. To be honest, I feel like I might be a little harsher and demand more quality from the company I actually represent.

Words to live by

A few months back I received some sneak-peek samples of "Stay Flawless" to test out and introduce into my makeup routine. The samples were timely because I had been noticing that my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation had started to get shiny mid-day and was fading more quickly than it used to. The next day I moisturized, peeled open my sample and began applying "Stay Flawless" to the areas where my makeup pulls a disappearing act. A few moments later I applied my regular foundation.

I learned right away that with this primer you have to act fast. It dries down and adheres to whatever you put on top of it. If you don't apply your foundation quickly "Stay Flawless" will dry without sticking to your base. So I started over. I applied "Stay Flawless" to one side and then immediatley applied my Bourjois foundation. Then I repeated the process on the other side. My foundation looked smooth and definitely had more coverage.

Why I loved (or hated) it....

My foundation stayed intact all day. It didn't budge at all and didn't get greasy. At 9 pm, it looked exactly the same as when I applied it at 7 am. I was very impressed. The true test is what my skin looks like the next morning. I am prone to skin sensitivity and breakouts, most primers really irritate my skin. The next day I had no evidence of a reaction or any blemishes. Awesome.

15 hours of flawless makeup

Benefit Cosmetics "Stay Flawless" 15-Hour Primer is an amazing product. I highly recommend it to anyone whose face eats up their makeup like mine does!

Pros: It works! Nice compact stick applicator. Easy to control. Really cute packaging. Contains no parabens.

Cons: You have to apply your makeup right after you prime. No heating up your coffee in between applying products!

"Stay Flawless" 15-Hour Primer retails $32. You can purchase it now on HSN or wait until it launches in stores at the end of June. You can purchase Benefit Cosmetics on their website, Sephora, Macy's Cosmetics Department and at Benefit Boutiques.
