Phillip Lim for Target

Catalogs for Fall fashion are already sitting in department stores, awaiting our eyes to bulge and knees weaken as we make mental lists of what potential frocks will make their way to our closets. If you're a big Target designer collaboration fan, here's some news for you! It has been announced today that New York-based designer Phillip Lim will be creating an exclusive 3.1 Phillip Lim line for Target that includes designs for both women and men, and will be available on September 15th this year. Since this is a limited edition line, I suggest you line up on the day it releases. Mark your calendars!

On the Target.com press release page, Lim says: “Since an early age, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of design evolution. One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire – one that is cool and chic, but still very accessible.”

The line will include more than 100 items with a nice price range between $20 and $300 being the most expensive, but a majority of those items will be available at just under $50. Looking at the designer's 31philliplim.com website, the retail prices for a corded t-shirt will set you back $750, with dresses ranging from $450 to $850.  You'll be saving hundreds of dollars on Lim's designs come this September.

    • Scientists discover dinosaur trapped in amber in unprecedented find

'Once in a lifetime find' The findings, which shed fresh light on how dinosaurs looked, are published in the December issue of Current Biology. Ryan McKellar, a paleontologist at the Royal Saskatchwan Museum in Canada and co-author of the paper, says he was blown away when Xing first showed him the piece of amber. "It's a once in a lifetime find. The finest details are visible and in three dimensions." Fragments of dinosaur-era bird wings have been found preserved in amber before but this is the first time part of a mummified dinosaur skeleton has been discovered, McKellar said. The tail section belongs to a young coelurosaurian -- from the same group of dinosaurs as the predatory velociraptors

Say this about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick: His national-anthem protest drew a lot of attention, from all corners. At a ceremony in Hawaii on Wednesday to mark the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, U.S. Pacific Command Commander Adm. Harry Harris made a remark that was clearly about the quarterback. “You can bet that the men and women we honor today – and those who died that fateful morning 75 years ago – never took a knee and never failed to stand whenever they heard our national anthem being played,” Harris said, according to the Associated Press.

The family of a teen shot Wednesday after he allegedly pulled two large knives on students at his Nevada high school is now reportedly questioning the officer’s use of force on the 14-year-old. • Louise Roe Went a Different Route For Bridesmaid Dresses at Her Wedding — and It Was Brilliant

When Louise Roe revealed she was marrying Mackenzie Hunkin, we knew the event would be something to "ooh" and "ahh" over later. It's rare that the host and influencer isn't dressed to the nines, and a quick look at her red carpet gowns proves she can flawlessly rock one, in any color, any day of the week. For her wedding, however, Louise went with a custom Atelier Pronovias option that included intricate lace details, a high neckline, and short sleeves. The piece, which was first revealed on Martha Stewart Weddings, dreamily trailed behind the bride as she walked down the aisle, revealing bold buttons all down the back. Yet Louise's wedding look wasn't the only part of the day that had us completely

Like many voters and political experts around the country, Tina Fey has been trying to figure out why Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election. Strategists may point to campaign mistakes while others may discuss Clinton’s likability factor, but Fey offered a different point of view entirely. “I promised myself I wouldn’t get up here today and talk about the election, because when I get written up in Breitbart, I want it to be because they’re mad that I’m making an all-female Hitler biopic,” said Fey at the Hollywood Reporter’s annual Women in Entertainment breakfast, in reference to the ultra-conservative website. “But I have to say, I think the real reason that Hillary lost ― and it’s the thing that people are afraid to talk about ― not enough celebrity music videos urging people to vote,” she continued through laughs.

    • This weather pattern spells big trouble next week across the U.S.

The Siberian Express will ride again next week, as frigid air pushes across much of the U.S. with temperatures in some places dropping to as much as 50 degrees Fahrenheit below average for this time of year.  The cold will come courtesy of two main weather features — a wobble in the upper level polar vortex that will pull cold air out of Siberia, Alaska and Canada,  While this will be a headline-grabbing event, with temperatures remaining below zero Fahrenheit for the daytime high across the northern Rockies, parts of the Plains and Midwest, it is not likely to equal or beat the severity of the January 2014 Polar Vortex event.  SEE ALSO: Polar vortex-type cold wave could freeze parts of U.S.

    • Ask Amy: Child victim faces abuser at family events

Dear Amy: I suffered regular sexual abuse at the hands of a cousin when I was between the ages of 5 and 8. He is eight years older than me. I actually go years without thinking about it, but when it comes back to me I feel angry and in pain. I’m 46 years old now. Over the past few years I have shared the secret with my sisters and a few close friends, but I will never tell my entire family. It would destroy my mother. Today I will head to my uncle’s funeral. My cousin will be there. I do not know what to do when I have to see him. He is a huge, charismatic man. Everyone loves him. I feel like an insignificant blip on the radar within the family. In the past I have avoided him, but he will approach

    • The dog was really cold, and the deputy’s car was so warm. And the door was open ...

The Tuolumne County, Calif., Sheriff’s Department may have found another potential candidate for its K-9 unit. A lost dog jumped into a deputy’s patrol car early Wednesday morning to escape the freezing cold, the sheriff’s department said in a post on its Facebook page. At around 1 a.m., Deputy Jon Hammell spotted a suspicious vehicle in the Tuolumne Market parking lot in Tuolumne City. Hammell left his driver’s door open and walked up to the vehicle so he could speak with the occupants. When he returned to his patrol car, he found a black labrador sitting in his passenger seat. The dog, named Ruger, had information listed on his collar. The dog fell asleep in the warm patrol car as his owners

Every Garth Brooks fan knows the artist only has eyes for “Miss Yearwood,” but there’s a new lady in his life as of late, and her name is Alexa. Brooks has been featured in a collection of new ads for Amazon Echo, an in-home device that houses a virtual personal assistant (a la Siri) who goes by the name of Alexa. Each one short but sweet, the ads incorporate Brooks’ sense of humor and genuine relationship with Yearwood. One shows Brooks dancing with his wife in the kitchen while he sings “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” until Yearwood interrupts and asks, “Alexa, what’s the weather?” Unfortunately for Brooks, it’s actually 57 degrees outside, and Yearwood declares he still has to mow the lawn.

She was on her way to school, when the 21-year-old college student stopped off at an ATM to get $400 to pay off some of her car expenses. That's when a woman approached her and asked if she had dropped an envelope. The next thing she knew was she was being forced into the woman's car at gunpoint and being robbed of her money and jewelry by that woman and another one. “It's been really hard,” the woman, who did not want to be identified, told reporters Wednesday at a news conference at Miramar police department. “I'm feeling broken.” The incident happened Nov. 28 at a branch of Wells Fargo, 6812 Miramar Pkwy. And police say it’s not the first time the duo has committed a similar crime. Tania Rues,

    • The lung cancer symptoms even nonsmokers need to know

If it's diagnosed early, the disease is actually highly curable, Dr. McKee says. Luckily this was the case for Rivas. She had her tumor removed in 2013, and is now thriving. (She ran a half-marathon last year!) But only about 16% of cases are caught at stage 1. "Usually it's like a 7- to 8-millimeter nodule sitting in the middle of a lung that doesn't have any symptoms associated with it," says Dr. McKee. Most patients are diagnosed later, once the tumor has grown large enough that it's "pushing on an airway, resulting in some breathing problems," she explains. That's what Marlo Palacio experienced just before the holidays in 2013, when she developed a cough unlike any cough she'd ever had before.

DEAR ABBY: I am a single, 55-year-old man. During the last year, I have felt lost. My mother, my last close relative, passed away. My brother and sister died years ago, as did my father. We were a very close family. Now I am an orphan! I don’t have children and I’m not sure what I need to do. I’m in the process of selling the family home/office where I worked for the last 30 years, but I feel guilty about it. There’s so much stuff to sort through — both business and personal — that I don’t know where to start. I’m overwhelmed and having so many anxiety attacks I can’t get the things done that I need to. When I sell this place, I know I’m going to be devastated. I have been suffering with depression
