Phillip Lim for Target

Catalogs for Fall fashion are already sitting in department stores, awaiting our eyes to bulge and knees weaken as we make mental lists of what potential frocks will make their way to our closets. If you're a big Target designer collaboration fan, here's some news for you! It has been announced today that New York-based designer Phillip Lim will be creating an exclusive 3.1 Phillip Lim line for Target that includes designs for both women and men, and will be available on September 15th this year. Since this is a limited edition line, I suggest you line up on the day it releases. Mark your calendars!

On the Target.com press release page, Lim says: “Since an early age, I’ve been intrigued by the idea of design evolution. One of the reasons I wanted to collaborate with Target is because I felt that together we could create a collection that would inspire – one that is cool and chic, but still very accessible.”

The line will include more than 100 items with a nice price range between $20 and $300 being the most expensive, but a majority of those items will be available at just under $50. Looking at the designer's 31philliplim.com website, the retail prices for a corded t-shirt will set you back $750, with dresses ranging from $450 to $850.  You'll be saving hundreds of dollars on Lim's designs come this September.

Russia claims to have created a devastating hypersonic missile that travels five times faster than the speed of sound and could rip through navy warship defences because it's too fast to stop. The Kremlin's Zircon missile has been called "unstoppable", "unbeatable" and "undefendable" with a 4,600mph speed that only one defence system in the world can destroy – that system is owned by Russia. The missile employs revolutionary scramjet technology to reach its hypersonic speeds whereby propulsion is created by forcing air from the atmosphere into its combustor where it mixes with on-board fuel – rather than carry both fuel and oxidizer like traditional rockets.

Steve Eimers knew something was wrong before he opened the envelope with his daughter’s name on it. It was from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, and it was about Hannah Eimers’s crash a few months earlier. Because she was at fault in the November crash in her father’s Volvo, the letter said, the state wanted her to pay up: $2,600 to install a new guardrail end terminal and $231 to get the highway safety device inspected — nearly $3,000 in total. The invoice shocked Steve so much that he dropped a page of the letter onto the floor, he told The Washington Post. Hannah had been dead nearly four months. “It’s obscene,” he told The Post. “They will kill you and then they will bill you.

The first cocktail party at Barack Obama’s new office last month was certainly more casual than any he had hosted in recent years. The wine bore a random assortment of labels, as if assembled potluck-style. The self-serve appetizers were set out in the narrow hallway. The host, tieless, eschewed formal remarks, as a few dozen of his old administration officials — Joe Biden and former chief of staff Denis McDonough, as well as more junior ones — mingled in a minimalist wood-paneled suite that could be mistaken for a boutique law firm. “It was a bit of a shock to the system,” said Peter Velz, who used to work in the White House communications office. “You’re bumping up right against the vice president

    • Gowdy: I Wish Democrats Would Be ‘A Little More Outraged’ About the Political Use of Unmasking U.S. Citizens

(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C) told CBS’s “Face the Nation” on Sunday that the incidental collection of intelligence on U.S. citizens happens, but Democrats should be “a little more outraged” about “the political use of that unmasking.” “Adam [Schiff] is right that the incidental collection of U.S. persons happens. What I wish some of my friends on the other side would be a little more outraged about is the political use of that unmasking,” Gowdy said. “So I understand we collect U.S. citizens, but we don’t read about those U.S. citizens on the front page of ‘The New York Times’ and ‘The Washington Post.’ That, in addition to threatening the surveillance programs, is also a felony,”

The medieval man was buried along with hundreds of others in a graveyard underneath what is now the Old Divinity School building of St. John's College at the University of Cambridge, in the United Kingdom. By studying his remains and piecing together his facial features and biological history, archeologists said they hope to understand the lives of anonymous poor people in the 13th century. "Most historical records are about well-off people and especially their financial and legal transactions," study lead researcher John Robb, a professor of archaeology at the University of Cambridge, said in a statement.

    • When it wouldn't stop raining, this family did a muddy maternity photoshoot instead (15 photos)

(All photos courtesy of Elaine Baca, Lane B Photograph ) Parenting is messy, but as this family of four show, it can also be plenty of fun. Jon and Brittany Barton were planning a maternity shoot to celebrate their third child, but the weather was proving to be very uncooperative. “In Waxahachie, Texas when it rains it pours. In the weeks leading up to the maternity session, the rain was relentless,” said photographer Elaine Baca of Lane B Photography . “We had rescheduled the session a couple of times already and Brittany was quickly approaching the end of her pregnancy, so we knew he might come any day.” Baca went back and forth with the Bartons discussing outfits and alternative indoor locations but the family were very outdoorsy and knew that simply wasn’t them. “Then I suggested something a little unconventional. They have a huge backyard which backs up to a field and I knew it had lots of muddy puddles, so I asked her what she thought about playing in the rain and ending with a mud fight. I don’t think she even hesitated, she said she trusted my vision and wanted to go for it!” said Baca. So with Declan, 4, and Noah, 2, in tow, the family spent the day getting up to some muddy mischief and the results were amazing! “For me, photo sessions are all about preserving memories and making new ones. With small children it’s about remembering their ever changing personalities and quirks that make them unique,” Baca said. “[This way] parents don’t have to stress about getting their little ones to sit still and look at the camera and kids get to be kids while doing something everyone enjoys.” And the Bartons definitely looked like they enjoyed themselves alright! • Watch the new ‘Justice League’ trailer (and the Avengers’ hilarious reaction to it)

Years of anticipation have led to this moment. On Saturday, Warner Bros. Pictures and DC shared the first official trailer for Justice League , giving fans an extended look at the superhero team-up movie that everyone has been keeping a close eye on since Man of Steel hit theaters back in 2013. Justice League will build upon the stories of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and this summer's  Wonder Woman , following Bruce and Diana as they attempt to build a team of heroes to take on a massive threat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cxixDgHUYw Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. Having failed to win over critics with Man of Steel , Batman v Superman or Suicide Squad , this is DC's chance to turn things around for its movie universe. And while Marvel fans might not be particularly worried about Justice League stealing the spotlight, the Avengers themselves are preparing for the worst. YouTube user DrMachakil put together a reaction video featuring Marvel's brightest stars just hours after the Justice League trailer went live, and it's genuinely pretty funny: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_5HV5MR2Bg Justice League arrives in theaters on November 17th, 2017.
