Balm Chicky Balm Balm Lip Balms

Balm Chicky Balm Balm Lip Balms

I will fully admit it, I am a sucker for a gimmick. My kitchen houses an alligator cheese "gator". I have a blush brush that looks like a lady with an afro. Our bottle opener is an open-mouthed grizzly bear. I am not attracted to basic, no-frills functional products.

When it comes to makeup, I don't take myself too seriously. I am a makeup artist for a company that has the motto "laughter is the best cosmetic, so grin and wear it",  and I fully believe in that adage. I love packaging that makes me chuckle every time I open up my makeup bag. I adore tongue-in-cheek color names that make me excited to tell people what shade I am wearing. Products that catch my eye have to be witty, interesting and unlike anything I have ever seen before. But don't get me wrong, behind the packaging and silly names there has to be quality and impressive performance.

While perusing the internet blog-o-sphere I came across a new product that met all of the requirements to be considered for entry into my makeup collection.

Introducing my new obsession: Balm Chicky Balm Balm

Yes, Balm Chicky Balm Balm, like the music that played in the background of cheesy 70's adult films. The packaging and the product names are all inspired by this special time in history. A time when both men and women wore long feathered hair.

Juicy Melons by Balm Chicky Balm Balm

Melon flavor by Balm Chicky Balm Balm

The melon flavor is a super yummy, but not overwhelming ripe cantaloupe flavor. I like the subtlety of the scent and flavor of this balm. Very smoothe and not sticky at all! Retails $12 on www.balmchicky.com

Huge cucumber and mint lip balm by Balm Chicky Balm Balm

Cucumber and mint lip balm by Balm Chicky Balm Balm

Cucumber and Mint is the perfect gift for the stud in your life. I gave one to my fiance Ben and I know every time he uses it he will be showing it off to his friends. It has a nice fresh flavor. The cucumber is a little unexpected and it balances nicely with the tingle and breath freshening of the mint. I think there is a definite manliness to this flavor and scent. Almost like cut grass! Hot Chocolate Love lip balm by Balm Chicky Balm Balm

Hot Chocolate Love lip balm by Balm Chicky Balm Balm

Personally, I am not a fan of chocolate flavored lip products. I barely like chocolate all on it's own. But if you like chocolate you will be crazy for Hot Chocolate. It feels like dessert every time you apply it to your lips. Retails $12 on www.chickybalm.com

Other flavors to check out...

Sweet Baby Ginger: Spicy ginger flavored lip balm that "warms your lips with a hint of spice- a little bit naughty, a little bit nice".

Wild Mountain Honey: Raw Honey flavored balm that "tames even the most weathered lips into supple submission".

For the best deal order three flavors for $30 or five for $50.

Why I love em': Behind the adorable packaging and sexy names is a product that packs a punch. Balm Chicky Balm Balms are all natural and organic. They moisturize the lips with extra-virgin olive oil, palm oil, hemp seed oil and beeswax.

Russia claims to have created a devastating hypersonic missile that travels five times faster than the speed of sound and could rip through navy warship defences because it's too fast to stop. The Kremlin's Zircon missile has been called "unstoppable", "unbeatable" and "undefendable" with a 4,600mph speed that only one defence system in the world can destroy – that system is owned by Russia. The missile employs revolutionary scramjet technology to reach its hypersonic speeds whereby propulsion is created by forcing air from the atmosphere into its combustor where it mixes with on-board fuel – rather than carry both fuel and oxidizer like traditional rockets.

    • Why Republicans dutifully defend Trump's most ridiculous lies

In the past, presidents have told big lies mostly for one of two reasons. In the midst of scandal or failure, they told lies to protect themselves and deny that they had done wrong: I am not a crook, we did not trade arms for hostages, I did not have sexual relations with that woman. Or they lied to convince the public to go along with a policy initiative, whether a war or a tax cut or a new program, when the truth was insufficiently persuasive. Unlike his predecessors, President Trump lies for any reason at all. I imagine the sinking feeling his aides get when he blurts out another whopper. "Now I'm going to have to go out and defend this," they say with a sigh, then huddle together to arrive

Some critics of President Trump and the news media argue that political commentators have set an unusually low bar for Trump. At 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, the news division of Fox News sent out this "news alert": In fact, Trump spent Saturday and Sunday at his golf course in Sterling, Virginia. His staff said he was in meetings, but social media posts showed he was wearing his golf attire and spending time on the links. "Normally, I'd suggest that everyone cool it with the golf snark," notes Kevin Drum at Mother Jones. "We've now had four consecutive presidents who have taken endless grief every time they hit the links, and it's pretty stupid." But not only was this Trump's 13th trip to one of his
