### In our new house we went with top of the line appliances (not european, but american... first mistake). The washer from day one gave us a number of "error" codes. F20 and F21. These can be caused by a number of things... look up on youtube and there i...s a good video on how to fix... don't expect Whirlpool to send anyone out and depending where you buy... our local dealer doesn't fix. I ended up pulling out the plug which resets the internal computer and it will go for another week then the error will happen again. I finally took the thing apart myself to fix.Warranty --- crappy... it doesn't work if they won't do anything about it.Service ---- Crappy... same as above. In our old house we had a smaller samsung front load... no problems for the 3 years we had it. ### As with the others who have posted here, I would caution anyone considering buying a Whirlpool appliance, based on my experience. 18 months ago I purchased this new, front loading washer. I am a single person, living alone and don't do laundry for an...yone else. I wash 2 to 3 very light loads per week (sometimes less), use soft water, etc. About a week ago I noticed a very loud noise coming out of the washer on spin cycle. I called an authorized repair shop and the repairman came by today. He informed me that a bearing was going out and that the repair bill would be $1120.70. He strongly urged me to call the Whirlpool warranty center to see if they would extend the warranty, given the circumstances. I called and--you guessed it--they essentially told me to stick it. To say that I am dissatisfied in an extreme understatement. Based on my experience, I would encourage everyone to select a different manufacturer. Read more Less
### I had the same thing happen as the previous reviewer. I do limited laundry, no big loads and had the same loud noises. This happened a little over one year after the washer was delivered. I called at the 13 month date, had the repair person recommend...I call Whirlpool directly. I talked to the most awful person at Whirlpool and was told pretty much too bad. They would send parts but I had to pay the repair person! So, I'm still out a few hundred dollars. Whirlpool DOES NOT stand behind its products. If you buy one of their appliances, make sure you purchase the extended warrantly. Read more Less
