  • CD Media Is Wonderful!!!

    By bn419  Aug 4, 2003

    ### Archiving you pictures for future use or viewing via CD's is great! It is so easy to organize them - just write on the CD what is on it, place it in the case, and presto! your pictures are saved. This 350 model is very compact and easy to use after...a little practice. The MPEG movie feature came in handy when my mother-in-law was on TV. I made a movie of the video and emailed it to her kids. Also the CD's hold alot of pictures - up to 156 on a disc. If travelling for a long time, all you need are 8 mm CD's. If you need more, Wal-Mart even has them. No worry about media cards or computers on the trip. You can set it so you can review the picture before it is saved on disc. That way if you take a bad picture you can delete it and not waste space on CD's. Battery life is much better than I expected. Read more Less

  • Great value but one small significant flaw

    By J. Gordon  May 28, 2004

    ### The MVC-CD350 has many options and features that are well described in the manual and also on the camera in abbreviated icon format. Excellent camera that will do amazing things for both amature and pro. Has one defect in that the wide angle lenses...will leave a shadow in the left hand corner of a photo where the accessory lens will shadow the flash. THere is no way to get around that except to not use accessory lens when using flash. No option for 3rd parth hot flash so is just the way it is. Camera takes many size formats and also movies in several size formats, one e-mail and other full screen in Windows Media Player 9. Excellent camera for the price and the media can hold up to 1200 photos in standard VGA format, about 77K per photo. Larger sizes of course take more space but even with full 3 mega pixel the CD will hold about 100 photos making expensive memory sticks obsolets. Media can be changed out in seconds and are not expensive, the RW can be used over and over. Except for the accessory and flash issue there are NO negatives about this camera. Support is excellent, but you won't need it with this camera. Read more Less

    By Randy  Mar 30, 2004

    ### you can't ask for a better digital camera for the memory sticks to buy.I was able to get 100 cd-rw disk off the internet for 57.00 (.57 per disk) and I can reuse them about 500 can store pic's & mpeg files on the same disk.I don't...know why anyone would want a memory stick when they could burn their pictures directil to a CD.I was able to get 245 pic's on one cd (set @1.2mp) Read more Less

  • Couldn't Live Without It

    By Tisha  Jan 29, 2006

    ### I don't know what I did before I had my Sony. This cam has been great for us. We had a hard drive crash not long ago, and I didn't lose one picture--they were already saved to disk! The photo quality with this cam is superior. I take it with me every...where. I've called support three or four times since I have owned this one; they're most helpful! If you're thinking about a digital cam, I highly recommend this one. Read more Less
