Users of the Genie Non-Intellicode Wireless Garage Door Opener Keypad GWKBL 34961R should note that this model has been discontinued by Genie Company. A substitute device is available however and North Shore Commercial Door Co. will ship the Skylink 89 Universal Keypad as a direct replacement. The Skylink 89 wireless keypad can be used on most national brand garage door openers that were manufactured up to 2007. This device has a standard soft-key backlit keypad and comes with a one-year warranty and two 3V lithium batteries. The advantages of using a wireless system for your garage door include the convenience of entering the garage without the need of a remote control or keys, items than can easily be misplaced, lost or stolen. When using the Skylink 89 with your existing garage door opener, you must set the frequency switch by selecting the current frequency according to the brand of your existing door opener. Next, you will need to place the brand jumpers at the correct position based on the brand of your existing garage door opener. Finally you will need to set the code by positioning the DIP switch on the Skylink 89 to match the code setting of the existing garage door opener.
