  • Save your Money and Buy Something Else

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Jun 20, 2009

This mower worked okay on my small lawn until the battery went dead (about a year and a half later). Folks save your money and buy something else. This is a cheaply build machine with a short lifespan. It is marketed as an environmentally friendly ...machine...the truth is it will be sitting in your local landfill before you know it and that's about as environmentally unfriendly as it gets. • Homelite UT13122 Cordless Mower

By Yahoo! Shopping User  Oct 1, 2008

Warranty is a 'limited 2 year warranty' which is apparently the time they last. My Homelite UT13122 mower is less than 18 months old and battery or charger has failed. No parts listed on Homelite website and a call to them was pointless, but at least... they answered the phone. Calling Home Depot had same results - zip-zero-nadaMy instinct says the $375 I paid for mower from Home Depot and the 10 times it was used probably equate to $37.50 a mow so I could have hired a neighborhood kid cheaper and a lot less aggravation Read more Less

  • Homelite cordless lawnmower model UT13122

    By NJRaeSells  May 24, 2008

Petite lady who had two back surgeries that has grass at home must mow it. Last spring I was in search of the Black and Decker model that was cordless. All sold out so I went with the Homelite cordless model UT13122. I was impressed with it all last ...summer. This spring, went to use it again and realized the battery needed charging. I misplaced the charger! Started on Homelite's website; what a JOKE! Even while trying to register my product, there is NO catagory for lawnmowers to register. Hum. After researching and being quite upset, I learned Homelite is manufactured by American Lawnmowers. Tried thier website to no avail. Went back to Home Depot, explained all that I'm going through to find a "replacement" charger. He called Homelite and they want to charge me $49.00 plus $10.00 to ship it. I can't afford to spend $60.00 to replace the charger so currently I am trying to find a replacement. But first, I am trying to find online the actual owners manual that came with to get the specs and try to replace it. But, needless to say, I can't even find the damn manual online. STAY AWAY FROM HOMELITE PRODUCTS IF YOU DON'T NEED A HEADACHE. Read more Less

  • Works great for our small yard

    By happycamper  May 23, 2010

We replaced our gas mower a couple of years ago with this battery/electric mower and I can see that it wouldn't work on big lawns. It works fine on our 1/4 acre lot. If the grass is tall or heavy it just barely makes it. If we cut it weekly it has pl...enty of charge. Compared to our old gas mower it is great because it is quieter, has no fumes, and requires no gas jug in the garage. I also believe it is safer because it is instant on whereas a gas mower you try to leave on once started. So with the electric you just shut it off when the dog wanders by, or neigbor kids ride by, or when you bend over to grab a stick or tennis ball left in the yard. So far (this is our 3rd summer) we have had no maintence issues. We don't use the clippings bag and just use it in mulching mode. Read more Less
