### This game isnt bad, but its not great either. Dragon Warrior the name itself makes most veteran RPG gamers want to bow down before it. And bow we should. Dragon Warrior is THE definetive Godfather in the RPG Video Game world. I can only hope the youn...g kiddies marveling over Kingdom Hearts today will someday search the history of the RPG game world and discover Dragon Warrior I, II, III, and IV for NES. Its sad to say that where Final Fantasy has matured like a fine wine over the years in terms of graphics and stories, Dragon Warrior hasnt. Dragon Warrior kept more true to having an old school feel, that is certain. But having just a simple old school feel doesnt make a great game. Same works the opposite way too, it takes a lot more than graphics and sound to make a great game as well. Theres all sorts of run-of-the-mill RPGS out there. If I was 12 or 13 years old again Id probably love to play them all. But when play time is rare in the real world and its my own money coming out of my pocket. I want to play something that is really great. Dragon Warrior VII is just another game. Years from now people will still remember games like FFIII, FFVII, Shining Force, Zelda;A Link to the Past, Lunar, Xenogears, Dragon Warrior I. Dragon Warrior VII is going to end up in that pile of forgotten games like Sword of Vermillion, and Beyond the Beyond. Read more Less

It's a simple RPG game (with 2D picture ), but the storyline is very incredible. Find the shards, look for people, collect some items, and many more. But one thing that makes me crazy is money. It's hard. Oooogh.
### First of all, it's worth noting that this is a classic Dragon Warrior game. The graphics are mediocre and the sound is terrible. That having been said, this game is easily among the top-ten console RPG's I've played on any system.Though I haven't c...ompleted the game, I think it's safe to say that one can squeeze quite a few hours out of this game. And for fans of old-school RPG's, this game is a must-play. Read more Less
Im sure youve already read plenty of reviews, so Ill get to the chase. This game has around 100 hours of awesome gameplay. If you dont own a PS1, then this game is the reason to get one. You definitely wont be disappointed.
### If you have ever played one of the original 4 Dragon Warriors for Nintendo, your in for a blast. The controls are easily adaptable, the graphics are 2D sprites on 3D backgrounds, and best of all, its 2 discs long. The sound is almost fully ripped f...rom the original games, such as the battle sounds and menu choices. Beautiful orchestral music plays as you walk either through forests, caves, and towns. If you were serious about the Dragon Warrior series, or feel like picking up a great RPG for the PSX system, try Dragon Warrior VII. Read more Less
It's been almost a decade since an original Dragon Warrior game has arrived in North America, and it's no exaggeration to say that the gaming landscape has changed immeasurably. Dragon Warrior IV, the last title released in the US, may have been a marvel for the NES, but the years since 1992 have brought vast improvements in graphics, design, and often, playability. While other RPG series have focused on adding stunning special effects and FMV, more gripping, character-driven stories, and novel gameplay systems, Enix has always kept Dragon Warrior close to its roots, refining the basic gameplay with each new installment, while keeping the look and feel of the series intact. The result of these years of evolution is Dragon Warrior VII, a game that makes only a bare minimum of concessions to advancing technology, but more than makes up for this with its deep gameplay, massive quest, and sheer variety.
