  • Sanyo CRSR-10 receiver & boombox-the way to go

    By nursegirl  Dec 29, 2005

    ### I recently purchased this receiver and the boombox that goes with it and I have nothing but GREAT things to say about it. Took minutes to set up and it was no time at all before I was listening to it. It has great reception wherever I take it in the...house. I definetly recommend it to anyone who is interested in Sirus! • before the FCC got a hold of signal power

By Greg Phillips  Nov 24, 2009

    ### receiver is GREAT for the home. You can find better receivers for your car but if you want something that every radio in the house will pick up this is it. The FCC required Sirius receivers to lower their signal strength about 3 or so years ago. The...FCC said Sirius had to do this in case someone was driving by someone with a Sirius radio they would not interfere with the other vehicles radio. Bull because of the way the receiver and car radio works. Anyway this is a great receiver for the home. Not that great for the car. Other receivers will require you to be very close to them or have a directly connect to the receiver itself which is a pain. Read more Less

  • Buy lots of fuses

    By Henele  Jan 17, 2006

    ### The radio works fine at home, in the car though the docking option could have been better designed to be far less tedious and I think that it will wear much quicker than competitor radios. If you buy this radio and you're going to use this in your c...ar, get yourself over to Radio Shack and get yourself a lot of fuses for the 12 volt adapter because you are going to go through a lot of them. It blows them left and right for no apparent reason whatsoever. At first I thought it was the socket in the car, but I was able to use other 12 volt electronics without fail. I'm going to try and figure out how to get the 12 volt adapter repaired or replaced by Sanyo, I've been to their website once and didn't see it listed for sale and the support area seems to pertain only to their phones. • Sanyo CRSR-10 Sirius Satellite Radio

Worked once out of the box then just sat and beeped at me from that point on. Controls and features are ok. Spend a little more to get a lot more.
