  • Great introduction into for a "Grown Up" watch

    By Chris  Dec 6, 2009

    ### Was looking for a nice watch that not only had functionality, but was aesthetically impressive. Initially was looking into an Omega or Tag Heuer, and just barely had the bread to throw down on one, but really didn't want to spend $1500 for a name . I...guess one could say I "settled" on this Citizen, but it was one of the best compromises I've ever made on a product. This watch does A LOT, and looks fantastic. Once fully charged, the battery lasts for months without any exposure to a power source (natural or artificial light). My watch had been in it's box packaging in a drawer at the retailer for over a month. Upon opening the box and exposing the watch to light, it automatically received the current time and date and still contained a 3/4 charge. Setup wasn't that hard for me, I think the manual just has a tendency to over-complicate it. It only took me 15 minutes to set up all the modes/features I wanted to use. I'm away from home a lot, including internationally, and you can set the secondary time from a choice of 43 cities world-wide.So, if you want to scrap that Timex(I'll be keeping mine as a beater) and upgrade to nice-looking time piece that has plenty of functionality, you can't go wrong with this little fella. • Citizen Watch

    By Rick A  Jan 22, 2009

I consisdered buying a Rolex and backed out the last minute. The Rolex was used and the dealer wanted $1600.00 for the watch. The Citizen is 50 times the Rolex. It is like 1963 split window coupes are bad but so is a 2009 Zo6!
