Description

26 LCD integrated HDTV with LG's exclusive XD engine six distinct processes contribute to picture improvement. LG's XD engine takes the low resolution of analog signals to near HD levels by improving brightness, contrast, detail and enhancing color as well as reducing signal noise. This total solution results in cinema like high resolution images. Super IPS Technology reduces common distortion and blurring caused by fast motion video and also provides one of the industry's widest viewing angles (178°). Digital Cable Ready This HDTV includes a cable tuner which allows reception of digital cable programming without the need for an external cable box.

  • Great TV

    By J  Nov 12, 2006

    ### We got this TV as an open box buy at Circuit City. Paid an amazingly cheap 850 for it and love it. Had one issue (which turned out to be user error) and asked about the black screen issue. The tech said it's the screen ballast, and sometimes it just...doesn't start right. Common problem with the TV, no big deal. Great picture and resolution, love the card reader feature, lots of set-up options. Read more Less

  • All in one DTV

    ### Other than the black screen issue, which is easily resolved by turning the unit off and back on, I have no complaints. The built in over the air tuner works well when you cable provider doesn't carry certain networks. I haven't used the CableCard yet..., as I have a HD DVR unit from Comcast, it would be very nice to have the over the air channels integrated with the CableCard channels all in one Guide. The Guide is very nice too. Excellent image quality and conversion of 1080i down to the 768 lines of resolution. Size is perfect for a bedroom, and since most LCD TVs are at a max of 768 lines, going bigger does not gain resolution, but degrades it. Overall, it is the best feature laden TV for the money.
