The perfectly disposable Palm
10 of 12 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful I purchased the Zire a few weeks back as a replacement for my Handspring Visor. Its a great handheld. Sure it doesnt have a backlight - but so what I never used it. The screen is small but, its still adequate. The internal battery is a great feature. My old Visor would run out of charge and Id lose everything on it. The Zire uses the latest Palm OS (4.0). It has an alarm and good security for power-on password and masking records. The memory is only 2MB - so you wont be loading any dictionaries or Adbobe Acrobat. But so what - that really isnt what Handheld Computing is about. The biggest complaint is that Palm really went cheap with the calculator. The one in the Zire has no other modes; add, sub, mult, divide.The best this is that its only $99. Nothing to get attached to. Use it - it should last a few years. Then throw it out. Buy a new one. Truly disposable. ...
