Underrated!
This movie has been totally underrated! I don't know why; I consider it a classic. I think the only reason why they don't like it is because they don't get it. I think all they see is famous actors goofing off. But it's really deep. It tells about our human nature in kind of a tongue-in-cheek story telling.
I think you have to watch the movie with an open mind to really get the message. So, whoever says this movie is crap, is just a mindless movie-goer bum. I think people are used to being spoon-fed humor, so that's what they expected from this- just a brainless funny movie.
So if you saw it in the theater, and were to busy making-out or sleeping, you really need to watch it again to see what you are missing. ... -

Excellent movie

My High School biology teacher shows this in class every year, cuz of the ethical science issues it deals with. This movie is hidden classic, you have to see it! ... -

This movie is amazing!
When you think of a horror movie, your first thoughts are of action, killing, gore, and suspence. And this movie has them all right, but what I didn't expect was the breathtakingly beautiful animation. The characters, the scenery, everything-it's gorgeous. Deffinately the prettiest anime ever created. I showed this to a friend of mine, who really doesn't like anime or even vampire/horror movies, but he said it was "shockingly good" and bought the movie a few days later. My sister, who also never really enjoyed anime, also fell in love with this movie.
I consider this movie to be one of my prized possessions, and watch it every now and then just because. Just buy the film, believe me, you won't regret it. ... -

Anime movie of the year!
This movie is absolutely wonderful. It has everything you could want in a movie -action/adventure, drama, beautiful artwork, extraordenary music, character development, an intriging plot, and so much more!
I have to say, my favorite part is the opening scene with Van (who is delishously voiced by Kirby Morrow) fighting on the enemy ship. I'm not really a person for action, but the music combined with the excellently choreographed swordfighting and Van(did I mention he's really hot too?)makes an outstanding introductory scene.
I would recommend buying the limited edition version of the movie, because of the soundtrack (you gotta love Yoko Kanno) and the extras disc is cool too.
Even if you don't buy this movie, at least rent it or find some other way to view it. It's an experiance you won't forget. ...

the best ever
Escaflowne is the best tv series ever created. Enchanting music, beautiful animation, great voice actors (in both jap & eng), unforgetable characters. Don't second guess about buying this series, it's worth it. But if you're still doubtful about spending all that money, just buy the first dvd, but I'm sure you'll end up buying the whole series anyways. ...
