The best Peter Pan I've ever seen!
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: This is the first time that Peter Pan has ever been played by a boy (and it's about time).
Cons: Watch your girls
I enjoyed this movie so much that I watched it 4 times in 5 days (and I was restraining myself). It is very satisfying to see a boy in the lead role. I have always been offended at the traditional practice of casting women as Peter Pan. All of the children in this movie did a great job. I was impressed with the way they handled some physically demanding roles, since they were required to learn to use swords and some of them were required to learn to control the harness used for flying (which was reported to be difficult). The boy in the lead (Jeremy Sumpter) had the most physically demanding job of all, and he did a good job of making it look easy. It was very well cast and well put together.
There have been some reviews removed (and for good reason). The child in the lead really is way too cute for his own good! Be warned if you have young girls in your family. Nevertheless, This movie is great fun for anyone, and well worth the time to see. Expect some nice dreams that night. It will get your imagination going! ...
