If you like KISS and Aerosmith, you'll love Starz
Pros: Another great album by Starz
Cons: One of rock's most underappreciated albums
Starz was a band that never gotten the hard earned success like they truly deserved and they should've been as huge as KISS, Aerosmith, Cheap Trick and Ted Nugent, if you love those bands you should check out STARZ and be sure to check out this album and their debut album, those albums are worth getting. ...

Last album featuring Tom Johnston for awhile
0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpfulPros: great music, diversity and great vocals
Cons: the final album to feature Tom Johnston before the breakup
I really believe that this is one of the best Doobie Brothers albums out there and it's also one of the best 70's pop/rock albums out there, I would consider it to be the Doobie Brothers's most underrated album and it doesn't get as much recognition like it deserves to get, there isn't a bad song on this album although I could do without the instrumental tunes which is why I give this album an overall 4 star rating instead of 5, if you're a 70's rock music fan you should check out this album. ...

this is the way metal should be
Pros: great lyrics and musicians
Cons: they didn't achieve the success they truly deserved
After hearing Metallica being totally influenced by Diamond Head, I decided to check them out and I ordered the CD at a local music store and the following week I got the CD and I instantly fell in love with it, although they didn't achieve the hard earned success that they truly deserved but at least that Metallica and Megadeth discovered were totally influenced by them and if it wasn't for those two bands, Diamond Head would've been long gone and most people wouldn't get much of a chance to hear about Diamond Head and I believe that they're one of the best metal bands in music history, they're definately on par with Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Deep Purple and Saxon, if you're a classic metal fan then you're in a serious need of getting this album cause it rocks. ...

Weakest album by Starz
Pros: Hold on to the Night,, Good Ale We Seek
Cons: Not as focused as their previous efforts
Starz seems to be under a lot of pressure during the making of this album and it clearly shows here, some of the songs seemed a bit forced and they don't seem to be as focused, their debut album was one of the best hard rock albums of all time, while this one was of the weakest hard rock albums of all time, but I'll gladly take this album over the teeny boppin groups and the hardcore rap stuff, if you're new to Starz, get Brightest Starz: The Anthology or their self titled debut album. ...

Dr. Demento 20th Anniversary Collection: The Greatest Novelty Records of All Time
by Various Artists | MusicSeptember 7, 2003
It brings back memories
This is a very good CD to have if you like novelty hits or just some silly songs, there are some of those songs that I haven't heard of in years and a lot of those songs are seldomly heard on the radio unfortunately, while this CD does contain some great songs, there is some throwaways but don't let that discourage you from buying it, hearing 'Beep Beep' reminds me of when I was like 15, 16 years old and that song is worth the price for this CD alone cause I've spent years of trying to find that song and it's now here with me. ... -

White Bird Must Fly, Or She Will Die
2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful Ill never forget the first time Ive heard of White Bird on a Digital Station for the first time in like 5 or 6 years and Ive like totally forgotten all about it, the other songs are good but this CD is worth for the premier track alone. ... -

Dont Wanna Play No HEAD GAMES
I thought that Head Games was Foreigners 3rd best album falling behind their self-titled debut and 4, the classic songs are Dirty White Boy, Love on the Telephone, Women, Do What You Like and the title track, and what keeps this album from getting 5 stars is Ill Get Even With You and Modern Day (Foreigners last song to feature Mick Jones on lead vocals), if you love power pop or classic rock music, then add Head Games to your music collection. ... -

Good Rock Album
0 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful To me, this album isn't as good as their future albums 'Offering' (1982) and 'Nemesis'(1983) but it a very good album overall cause the music wasn't as heavy then, but I was fortunate enough to find this album in a record store and if you're a fan of Axe but don't own any of their albums, start with the aforementioned 'Offering' and 'Nemesis'.
But beware, Axe albums are extremely hard to find. ... -

Way ahead it's time
This album overall is good but the premeire track 'Man on the Silver Mountain' is a classic, I just heard this song on the Classic Rock digital station just last night and this album deserves more recognition than what it gets, too bad that other Elf members had to leave the band right after the album was released and it is also my understanding that drummer Gary Driscoll was murdered in 1987, sad to say.
If you like Dio, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Whitesnake, and UFO, then you'll like Rainbow. ...
Uriah Heep's last excellent album
Pros: Great music, great lyrics, great songs, on par with their best albums
Cons: doesn't get the recognition that it deserves
I really believe that "Sweet Freedom" is just as great as their previous studio albums (Look at Yourself, Demons and Wizards and The Magician's Birthday) and this album deserves the same recognition as those albums, the band is still at their peak with this album although this was the first album to steer away from the fantasy elements and this was also the first album recorded outside England due to tax reasons, the lineup from this album is.
David Byron (Vocals)
Ken Hensley (Keyboards, Guitar)
Mick Box (Guitar)
Gary Thain (Bass)
Lee Kerslake (Drums)
Here are my ratings for each song.
Dreamer (Thain/Box) 10/10
Stealin (Hensley) 10/10
One Day (Hensley/Thain) 9/10
Sweet Freedom (Hensley) 10/10 (the best song on the album)
If I Had the Time (Hensley) 10/10
Seven Stars (Hensley) 10/10
Circus (Thain/Box/Kerslake) 9/10
Pilgrim (Hensley/Byron) 10/10
Sadly this is the group's final excellent album and the upcoming albums ranged from mediocre to good and bassist Gary Thain would last one more album after this before he'd gotten fired from the band and singer David Byron would last 3 more album before his firing. ...
