Single computer throughput
Pros: Very easy to setup
Cons: Disaster for ethernet connections, multi-computer environment
Bought DLink DIR625 at Costco for it is 802.11n and suppose to be faster, safer and to give better bandwidth and range coverage.
Setup my first computer then second computer without any incident (the GUI step-by-setp setup was excellent).
When turning on both computers using ethernet connections, only one will get internet connection. Support said DIR-625 monitors throughput according to the modem bandwidth. For crying out loud, I have a cable internet connection, not a dial-up!
Had to unplug it and return to use the old Netgear which is 802.11g. Seems the switching capability for ethernet connections was not tested before shipping.
Wireless connections from more than one computers were fine. Haven't noticed the speed improvement but the range is better than the old one. ...
