Don't let the "goth" label throw you...
2 of 2 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful This album doesn't sound too gothy. I found it by accident and love it. The album has a slightly dark feel, but it's not compeletly black or suicidal. Not hard to get into, provided you like Excellent vocals and some good guitar.
Now it's time to check out their previous works. ... -

good thing it doesn't sound like Rage
Took a few listens to get used to. Only 2-3 songs sound somewhat like Rage, which is good, cause I didn't like them. Not enough guitar. Tom's guitar noises almost ruined "Bring em Back Alive" too.
Their collective talents have formed a new sound. If you think they sound exactly like either previous band, you haven't listened to the album. ... -

Best God Damn album in a LONG time
It's about time somebody besides Tool put out an album that is excellent throughout it's entire length. There's not a bad spot on the whole cd, and it flows really well.
Two tips:
1. Six Shooter is NOT one of the best songs. It's a funny song that makes fun of metal, not a metal song.
2. NEVER take musical advice from someone whose profile includes "likes Chevy muscle cars and watching NASCAR" ... -

Great cd
A few of the songs take a little while to get into, but it does include excellent songs, Auto Pilot, Into the Fade, and Lightning Song. Worth any price of admission.
And to the person who thought this album was too commercial: you're an idiot. ... -

Excellent
This cd is amazing, from start to finish. Plenty of long trippy songs that remind me of Monster Magnet's earlier works, expecially Walkin on the Sidewalks. Good stuff for any hard rock fan. ... -

Back on track
After a couple of albums with less guitar and more of a dance feel, they have finally gotten back to their Nihil/Angst/Xtort heavy guitar sound, and I couldn't be happier. This is the KMFDM I know and love, and I hope they have a few more ablums left along the same vein. ... -

great
excellent in it's own right, especially if you stop comparing it to Nirvana, etc.
Dont let idiots dissuade you
1 of 1 Yahoo! Users found this review helpful This cd is excellent. Im glad they took the time to get a cd right, rather than release crap they werent happy with. After listening to the cd and then reading some of the reviews, Im not even sure they HAVE a copy of it yet. It is simply amazing. Great guitar, and some songs with more meaningful lyrics than the playful Tonight the Stars Revolt.
I would not even consider this cd a new direction as I have heard it called. Heard and heavy is how I remember their last cd, and what I hope their next will be. ...
