Bravo! Lady Madonna (and Nile Rodgers)
This is the album that propelled Lady Madonna to stardom and lending and eardrum to it, it's easy to see why. It has no bad tracks! Much of the wonderful way this album sounds is due the genius of producer Nile Rodgers. With mostly synthezier backing somehow it doesn't just sound like machinery backing her up, unlike her Ray of Light album. He knew how to pull out the best of Madonna with his slick engineering, mezmering acoustic effects, tight rhythms and Madonna's key of G high soprano vocal energy exploding in the studio there's no way this album couldn't have been a blockbuster.
There are tracks on this album that never became big mainstream hits that should of, i.e. STAY and OVER AND OVER ... -

It's ok
I have this album and like it only because I'm a diehard Madonna fan. Unfortunately the release of this re-mix album was untimely. It was released to late and was actually a flop for a while. All of the hits on it had already worn on the public when it was released and no amount of remixing could stir resurged interest. The only thing it offers is different sounding versions of her early big selling dance hits ... -

Pop Music Artist/Banarama Greatest Hits
While it is true that you have to be a girl group fan to like the kind of music that Banarama produced during a long stretch of the 1980's they had something that most pop musicians didn't incorporate into their music in that day... Harmony! The number one girl group in the world at that time especially in their hometown (Europe) they'll always remain a favorite of mine.
The perfectly blended brassy sounding Muzak quality of the girls voices is an interesting contrast to the sometimes hard edged poppy sounds that always accompanied their vocal style. Check out the cover song HELP! (originally performed by the Beatles..) It's hot..

Bravura!!!! It's that Ross we chrish!
I can't believe this compact disc isn't for sale. Are the retailers and distributors on crack?
Ross kicks ass on The Porgy tune and the album was recorded in her Lady Sings The Blues days so it has that wonderful jazzy showtune overtone to it.
It was a lucky night for those that saw her live that evening at Caeasar's Palace in Las Vegas, NV, U.S.A. I was too young :( or I would have gone!
