Cons: not the original
the good thing about the original star wars trilogy is it's originality and technological ingenuity. it's nice to see someone try to improve on an old work but we should be able to see the films in their true form, with cut outs and puppets. instead we are stuck seeing a film of the passed with new digital crap that doesn't belong at all. there is no way that lucas could have the same vision as he had twenty years earlier. the "improvements"; in the new edition add nothing to the story or the characters, they are simply sugar coating. cute crap that make children giggle for a second instead of having a chance to notice that great films can be made without digital effects and blue screen sets.
