Not good enough for experienced GPS users

Cons: Maps not detailed enough, Poor hardware
I bought this for my wife. She may have been fine with it, but I had the chance to road test it for a few days, before I made the final decision on it.
I currently have a gps in my IPAQ, using the NAVTEQ maps. I can tell you that the maps in the magellan are not as detailed. There are locations that just can't be found on this Magellan that mine finds without any trouble at all. The maps are preloaded, so there is no ading additional maps, until they decide to update them.
As for the hardware, the processor in this unit must be really weak. It takes forever to respond to your commands via the touch screen. Also it freezes up on you, enough to be annoying. You need to press the re-set button, and you lose all your favorites and previous destination.
Perhaps the system I have is too good, but this Magellan did not compare to the IPAQ Navigation system I bought 3 years ago for 250 bucks. There has to be better. ...
