Cons: Gameplay, same old EA
When I heard that papyrus would no longer be able to make Nascar games, I was crushed. I purchased Nascar Thunder 2004 and was utterly frustrated with what I thought I would be forced to play for my Nascar fix. Then EA set out to better what was the KING of Nascar games, Nascar Racing Season 2003. They hired some papyrus people, and put some killer graphics along with a new telemetry feature which is awesome. However the game play is still nowhere near that of Papyrus. Upon attempting my first online race, I was black flagged for before the green flag fell for whatever unknown reason. Upon attempting a season in the truck series, I encountered the same issues I encountered in Thunder 04, such as your crew chief telling you to get behind a car that you are already behind, you then get black flagged for passing under the yellow. They may be able to salvage this game with some patches, but in my opinion, Nascar Racing Season 2003 is still the King. My advice to EA, pay whatever it costs to get the whole Papyrus crew, and let them make Nascar Racing Season 2006. ...
